One third of 2017 has already passed, and during the past few months several new whiskies have been introduced. We’ll highlight some of the most interesting new releases. New Highland Park designs & whiskies Highland Park has redesigned the look and feel of their core line. Earlier this year, we asked for your opinion about the Whisky Suggest App. We received heaps of praise, but a lot of useful feedback, too. This included several comments about the whisky search. The option to upload your own photo of whiskies that don’t have a photo yet, is a popular feature in our Whisky Suggest App. We’ve received hundreds of bottle photos, but because of quality issues, we had to reject a few dozen, unfortunately. Want to make sure that your photo is accepted, and visible in the Whisky Suggest App? It’s easy, with these simple tips. 1. Major Whisky Suggest App update
About six months ago, the first beta version of the Whisky Suggest App was released. During the past few months, we’ve received a lot of feedback and we’re really happy that most of it was (very) positive. The majority of the tips and feedback has been used to improve the app, and a new version is now available in Google Play. Whisky Rumours: July Edition
In the United States, all alcoholic beverage manufacturers must submit the labels of their products to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for approval. These labels are published on the TTB website under the Freedom of Information Act, which means that they’re available to see before the whiskies are released. Although it’s definitely not a guarantee that the submitted labels will actually end up on whisky bottles, or that these bottles will be released in any other country than the US, it is very interesting to look at. You can throw away empty whisky bottles, but why not let your favorite bourbon or Scotch bottle reincarnate as a lantern, soap dispenser or bird feeder?
