Have a Collection?

This week, my Whisky Suggest mind has been completely focused on collections. As my family and I are in the process of selling our house and preparing to move this summer, I had to box up my albeit limited collection. Apparently dozens of bottles of scotch and bourbon sitting out doesn’t sell homes; who knew?!

But while thinking about my collection IRL, I naturally shifted to my digital collection in the Whisky Suggest app. The collection feature has always been one of my favorites since I started using the app. As important as tracking my ratings is, I do enjoying seeing what I have in stock at a glance.

Since I own an app now and have access to all the data, my curiosity got the better of me. Again, while I am proud of my own little collection I have amassed during the year of the pandemic, I am well aware of its modesty both in quantity and quality.

That did make me wonder; which member of the Whisky Suggest community was hoarding the most bottles in their stash. Respecting the privacy of the true top user whose profile is set to private and has 733 bottles to their name, user Tangrisnir claims the prize with 732 bottles. Where do you even keep that many whiskeys?!

For context, the average collection size of all users (excluding those with 0 bottles added to their collection) is roughly 11 whiskeys.
