About six months ago, the first beta version of the Whisky Suggest App was released. During the past few months, we’ve received a lot of feedback and we’re really happy that most of it was (very) positive. The majority of the tips and feedback has been used to improve the app, and a new version is now available in Google Play. This new version will be available in the iOS App Store within a few days, too.
New home screen design
We’ve moved all different search options and other features to a sidebar menu. The home screen now displays the most recent user activity, with the people you follow listed first and editorial suggestions at the top.
Improved user profiles
Your user profile now displays some interesting statistics about your whisky preferences, and you can also collect badges by reviewing whiskies. There are nearly 50 different badges to be earned, and we’ll be adding even more in the near future.
Add new whiskies
This was -by far- the most requested feature. You can now suggest new whiskies, that are missing in the app. These suggestions are moderated, and once a whisky suggestion has been accepted (or rejected), you’ll receive a notification.
We’ve also made a few additional improvements, and added smaller features, including:
– Better collection, review and wishlist filtering
– Improved whisky scanner results
– Send your whisky collection by email in csv-format
And more is coming!
We’re working to add even more new features. Are you missing any features, did you spot any bugs, or do you have tips to improve the app? Let us know! We really want to know what you think, so all feedback is more than welcome!
