Beautiful Drinker, Fruity and subtle
Enjoying it. Quite a strange one, seems really delicate and crisp at the start but then I got a hit of dry fruit cake at the end. Liking it so far.
oily, light, easy to enjoy, salty. not strong though
nose: citric, pear, some metalic Sweet, floral hints, oak
palate: oak, Sweet, fruits, citric, spices, more oak
finish: medium
The nose is first apple skins, with a fruit-like tartness. Some sulphuric vegetals: cabbage and broccoli. The tartness is immediately apparently here. Hints of vanilla and sugary caramel.
The taste is sherried oak, with a second wave or more apples skins, with a spicy rind. There is a collection of tree fruits: apple, pear, with a real tannic tartness/bitterness combo.
The finish is metallic and charcoal. The tartness is still there but shares the stage. Some salt at the tail end. Not exactly in my wheelhouse, but I'm digging it just fine.
Malt, apples, pears and honey on the nose, light and crisp on the palate with more malt, apples and pears, a hint of smoke and spice on the medium finish.
Ruikt zacht maar heeft scherpe en lange afsmaak
något platt, snäll.
Nose like white wine, giving way to a smoky, licorice palette. Mild finish.
Like a white wine.
Fruit, giving way to leather, caramel and licorice.
Leather, pepper.
10/17/14. 86/100. Sweet pineapple fruit, orange, watermelon, fresh, vibrant, light oaky buttery notes. A spicy mint character. Body is lighter abnd carries vibrancy, oaky character more pronounced in taste. Cereals and red fruits on finish.
This 12-year-old single malt Scotch tends to be a little bit harsh on the tongue to start, possibly due to being 86 proof. It fits the basic flavor profile as Glenlivet 12. There are some differences as this is a little more complex. However, it has a short finish and mild flavor, which to me makes it falls short of a higher rating. Reasonably priced for its category.
great nose!
ok aber kacke
Smooth, first single malt that I enjoyed. Very drinkable and affordable.
