Incredibly well balanced. Worthy of the gods. The smoothest whiskey I've ever tried, but finishes with a long, growing subtly peaty & peppery spice. The nose is of caramelized bananas with a touch of brine. The initial palate is of smooth, rich & slightly sweet cream; almost like baileys. It's extremely drinkable and enjoyable. A drop of water makes it slightly spicier- I prefer it neat.

Oh je... schwer zu beschreiben, weil es wirklich viel zu schmecken gibt. Tiefer, runder Sherry, Eiche, kerniger Rauch, Meersalz, pfeffriger Biss sind deutlich präsent. Rundes Geschmackserlebnis ohne langweilig zu werden. Zum Abschied gibts langen Sherry mit leichtem Rauch und einem Schuss Chili.

A really good dram. Long finish, smooth on the palate, but still retains the classic talisker salinity and smoke. Beautifully balanced.
I Tried this whiskey at a Small Whisky bar in New York, I was blown away by its depth, and it's surprising freshness. Add little water and it opens up to become even better
A delectable combination of sweet and smoke. the smoke is not overpowering and the sherry and bourbon barrels give a nice amount of sweetness to this dram.

Wonderful smooth blend of smoke, seaweed and brine and nuts. Love this distillery.
like the 10 yrs old but smoother and less sharp the smoke is also less dominant.but unmistakable a peat bomb love it

Smoke, a little medicinal, pepper, but no chili catch. Much more round than the 10.
Very strong on black pepper & spice, yet sweet and gentle on the smoke/peat. One of the better 18 yo I've had.

Fantastischer, kräftiger und komplexer Malt mit ausgewogener Mischung aus Würze, Fruchtigkeit, Rauch und maritimen Noten.
Sehr voll mit leichtem, aromatischem Rauch, fruchtig mit Orangen und Karamell. Süße Gewürze, Honig und maritime Noten. Schön.
Zuerst ölig und süß, dann immer würziger mit ordentlich Pfeffer. Auch die Orangen sind wieder da, dazu Beeren und sehr schöner Rauch.
Kräftiger, würziger Abgang. Dazu eine leichte Süße, toller Rauch und maritime Noten. Schön eingebundene Eiche.
Smoke on the nose, accompanied by fresh wet seaweed that evolves into meat grilled with a spritz of citrus juice. Honey sweetness on first taste that smoothly transitions to agrd, grilled beef sesoned with sea salt. The aftertaste is shades from salty to medicinal, the taste of chlorine in water slowly fading iver the next few minutes.
Smoke and wood. Good stuff
Soft smokiness. Velvety mouthfeel. Soft pepper and sea salt. Oakiness and citrus. Long aftertaste.

A classic Talisker! A smooth mouth feel but a little roughness there and there to remind of the distillery's style. Beautiful balance in peat, citrus fruit, bitter chocolate and most importantly pepper. A classic favourite.

Nose: gentle peat and smoke, bit sweet.
Everything is harmonious.
Palate: real smooth, smokey, and rich, with a bit of salt, like salted caramel.
Finish: Long, just long :) and with peppery oak

In my limited experience with this distillery's offerings, this is definitely their best. It has that smoky, peaty taste that I love, with a distinctive spiciness that's very enjoyable. A great dram for a cold winter's night before a fire.
