Aroma: Früchte, Süße, Vanille (nach 2 Einheiten Wasser), Rosinen, Marzipan, Zimt,

Abgang: Herb, Alkohol,
I have been waiting for this one a while. Neck pore, and i let it air out 1 hour befor tasting no ice no water. Nexst is with water
Afther 1 hour it coms down and get the oloroso sherry dark frut stuff with the glenfrclas clean spirrit (fore those who have tryed it) lovly spisy smell in the end. 1 teespoon of water: more fruty and spisy, more oak, sitrus, pepper
Dark frut like oloroso give you dark Plum and drapes witout the dryness because the ex-bourben give a Nice hot chilli finnish with some oak lovely. 1 teespoon water: oak is stronger dark Plum and drapes long lasting takes over by an oak chilli flaver with long lasting finnish. Good Stuff
Long lasting chilli flaver with water and witout, watery full bodied and wonderfull. if you like strong food, if you dont i wont recomend this one.
This whisky gains from cask strength. With water is ok too but not that interesting
This is a seriously good Whisky for your money. Add some water to bring the abv down and bring the sherry out.
Warm citrus sherry sweet but string
Not for the fainthearted and not a lot there even for the stout hearted.
Lemon and pine,
Very very hot, evaporating eythanol until water added. A hint of smoke. Chipotle Some sherry, but the complexity is burned out by the heat of the alcohol
Long hot chilli
considering the fact, that it is an N.A.S., it's a very intense, great and strong malt - very nice aroma, just not that complex
grapes, raisins, full sherry, vanilla, caramel, intense, claearly wine aromas, dates, Christmas spices, traditional spicy Christmas cookie, cinnamon, very few alcohol despite the 60% abv; with some water added there's apple, more cinnamon, compote, more sherry, plums
(with some water added): soft, apple, grapes, a little bit of oak, some sherry sweetness and spices; citrus fruits clearly within
rich; dried fruits and compote, cocoa beans
Really delicious, smooth and pleasant despite cask strength
Strong spirits, raisins, plum, vanilla
Oily, cremy, raisin, cane sucker, plum, Dark fruit
Long and lingering, warming, cask strength alcohol bites the tongue, watering, dark fruit, raisins, sweetness, round and smooth
to strong and adding water dont gave you the right spot that Glenfarclas get with the Age stagement ones
very good cask strength from glenfarclas.high alcohol but not on the nose.fantastic whisky for a good price. highly recommendable.
Sherry and raisins
first warming, sharp, peppery but not unpleasant, then the sherry appears, raisins again with oak and soft smokey note.
A fantastic whisky, packing a punch of flavour, depth and complexity. If your in for an all singing, all dancing sherried whisky at a heavyweight abv, then this is your dram!
Wow, what a nose of depth and complexity! Big sherry opening and then the flavours begin to separate and the nose really shows its complexity. Marzipan, creamy butterscotch, honey, espresso beans, herbaceous notes and pear drops all interplay wonderfully throughout. Fabulous stuff!
Beautifully smooth and silky mouthfeel on the opening. Then strong sherry and malt flavours abound with a peppery spice developing. Finally hazelnuts, candied fruit and a slight charred, smokey note that wisps around the edges.
The peppery spice develops strongly on the tongue after the swallow, eventually subsiding to give way to a long drying vanilla and hazelnut finish. This whisky is quite an experience, highly recommend!
don't be put off by the abv. The nose is pure alcohol but the taste is surprisingly light and a little sweet. Good finish
straf spul!
great addition to any collection, a thicker whiskey with lots of depth..high ABV so consider putting a few drops of distilled water to open it up and mellow the burn
sherry, fruit, honey, salt
silky yet thick, peppery, oak, fruity
peppery and nutty
very thick and oily, sherry appears much more balanced than the Glenfarclas 12; tastes of dark fruits - figs, raisins, very rich taste. alcohol burn is much less than expected for the proof.
Strongly recommend to open after purchase and let it rest in bottle for around 2 months
harsh, but ok
Great stuff. Best drunk with a splash of water. Very well priced for the quality.
Vanilla, cloves, cherry, sherry...
Dried apricot, cloves, honey, apple...
Caramel, sherry, raisins...
Volle smaak. De geur wordt overheerst door de alcohol. Je proeft duidelijk sherry. Zeer smaakvolle whisky, ondanks het hoge alcoholpercentage. De nasmaak is alcoholwarmend.
surprisingly smooth for 60% alcohol. Bit of spice and a very nice finish.
in Nase und auf zunge
Sherry notes, very intense, a bit spicy, vanilla and dark chocolate.
This is after party, 18+ ;-)
The taste was better with a pinch of water in it. But I expected more.
Amazing whisky experience, great depth of aromas and tastes and wonderful full-bodied character. You can experiment with drops of water so that you could enjoy different scents and taste qualities every time you have a dram of this.
full almost sweet flavour.
strong flavour and nose. loved with 3 ice cubes.
spicy and sweet whisky. Adding bit of water brings flavours up. Good whisky for a seasoned drinker.
Stro g in smell and taste but nice.. Maybe not as a first glass
Smells intensive, rich, very sweet and creamy, coffee, plums, dark sherry, red apple, pears, nuts, flowery, touch of smoke,on the palate first comes bitter, black pepper, spicy oily oak then changes into dark fruit, nutty, leather, strong malt taste and sweet sherry, finish is short dry then bitter, warm and long with coffee and nuts, wood aftertaste.Simply fantastic dram, amazing Glenfarclas.
Very intense sherry whisky, sparkling and even a bit smokey. Great stuff for few money. Glenfarclas rulez!!
Heavy fruit impact with the full sherry range, slight peat smoke, caramel and almonds. Little bit flowery like hibiscus or roses. Intense but still light and fresh.
Very strong though quite some water added. Mouthwatering, chili sting, nutty, roast oak, very salty.
Milk chocolate and salt, long, warm and drying again.
toller Highland Whisiy
A challenge, not for the faint-hearted. it was my first foray in the 60+ ABV, and I later tasted better
this whisky is getting better every glass. i think this whisky needs its time to reveal its flavours. also a splash of water i would recommend. for sweed sherry and spicy this is the one to go.
Great flavor for a young whisky
Strong and full of taste, less long, dry, finish
A little spicy, but in a good way.
Guter whisky viel dunkle Trockenfrüchte guter antritt
Very nice whiskey, especially with a bit of water to maximize that sherry taste.
Lecker aber noch etwas zu jung. Im Nachgang etwas sauer.
Excellent. Sherry et raisin. Attention c'est un cask strenght. On se mouille simplement les lèvres et on déguste.
