Good 18yo
Impressive. Light, sweet, vanilla and apple. Nothing out of this world, but for the price it’s not bad. If you wanted to entertain non whisky drinkers this would be a great dram to pour as it’s not offensive at all.
The nose reminded me a lot of Craigellachie 13yo, but not worth the price in my opinion (Craigellachie is already overpriced and that’s better!)
perfect
Good
nose: rich tones of port soaked dried sultanas followed by subtle notes of toasted sugar hazel nuts
palate: dates, leather and anacide
finish: lingering long lasting fruity notes returning back to those dried fruit flavours of sultanas and dried dates
Apple crumble cake, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, oak spice. Smooth, oily, tasty.
My 9th whisky. My third Glenlivet in a row (gift package Founder's reserve, 15 year French oak and this one). The first taste wasn't my cup of tea. After the second zip I started to like it, but not as much as the previous mentioned 15 year French Oak. Too much like raisins and a bit to sour for me in the beginning, but I got used to it and it is definitely not a bad one. My wishlist for a whisky filled cupboard is growing.
A very approachable whisky. A lovely nose, sweet and rich. Sherry, vanilla with fruit, oak and spice. There is some bitter astringency on the palate. A good whisky for beginners, but I prefer Aberlour a'bunadh for a Speyside single malt.
Fruity, a little sweet, caramel.. A nice fresh whisky..
sherry and vanilla
less peat smoke
Sweet floral, fruity and cinnamon. Smooth, slight complex and spicy.
great, elegant, complex malt - simply a very nice whisky
rich and complex, instantly some oak, some caramel, adding to it an enticing sweetness: vanilla, ripe pears, blackberries; behind that there's dark sherry, some raisins; sweetness getting stronger; later on a hint of smoke, roasted aromas
instantly sweet and spicy; rich red fruits, sweetness, some cocoa, some nutmeg, again getting sweeter, caramel
red apple, oak spice; at the same time very caramel-ish sweet
very smooth
Soft smooth with honey notes
Sweet sherry notes
Honey
Thanks
Sweet malt.... spice in aftertaste...
Very round... one of my favorites...
I recommend!
Ein toller Blend mit ausgeprägten Speyside-Noten. In Sache Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis einfach sensationell.
Tropische Früchte, süsse Ananas und Orange, Malz und Caramel
Malz, Ananas, Toffee, Milchschokokade
Eher kurzer Abgang mit süssen Noten, Caramel und Zitrusnoten
Great. Much better and in my opinion very different profile than the 12. Almost seems hard to believe the 12 and 18 are from the same distillery.
OK, but not great, good 18-years old value for the money though
sweet, smells cheap
alcoholic at first, then bitter and sweet at the same time, very balanced, nice
flat, not bad
spicey
Honey, peach, anise, floral, orange, delicate, raisin, pepper, mild wood. A gentle and lightly sweet dram.

Wow, powerfull
Sweet and vanilla nose, moving to orange and oak. Complex taste, a bit bitter, orange, hot and spicy at the throat. Medium/long finish. Water smoothes it all a bit. No peat.
some vanilla, sherry fruits and sweetness on the nose, great spice and oak on the palate, oaky finish
very smooth. oak, honey, with a tobacco finish
Quite fruity and lean, a bit sweet with caramel, vanilla and oak.
Red apples, vanilla, oak, hints of pineapple.
Fruity and a bit sweet with caramel, vanilla and oak with some alcohol burn on the side. Lean mouthfeel overall.
Mostly vanilla with a significant long alcohol burn.
Nose: Sweetness, crisp apples, light, delicate,
Palate: Delicious, barrel notes, vanilla, butterscotch, slight warming spices, barl
Oaky nose. Fruity longlasting aftertaste.
Klasyka i elegancja w dobrym guście.
Smooth, light and easy to drink. Not too much depth.

Caramel apples (ripe) and pear. licorice. sherry, spice. Medium finish with some pepper. No depth.
Smooth liquorice and caramel at the nose. Way too delicate in the mouth, I could not detect anything in particular. Very strong taste of honey in the ending.
Liquorice
Floreal
Honey
rich nose
liquorice oak and honey
very smooth-maybe too much, boring (imho)
so disappointed
shooort finish
gets better with a drop of water
Livet 18 is one of the most subtle, silky, soft, and balanced whiskies around, so much so that some may find it boring. Nothing really sticks out, gentle vanilla on nose leads into supple, soft honey, citric palate with less than expected cask oakiness of 18 years. Bit of sherry is in there but nowhere near some of the Macallans or Abelour Abunadh.
a smooth sherry bomb that is sweet on the nose and palate. A hint of dark chocolate and honey.
Sherry, orange, honey sweetness
Creamy, sweet, nice mouth feel. doesn't feel young. dark chocolate
light pepper, a little woody dryness, Sherry builds
Lovely approachable 18. balanced.
vanilla. fruit. sweet.
oak. nutty. oily. sweet.
oak.
Sweet, smooth, fruity, floral. Its good for beginners, or maybe if you just want to relax and not have some overwhelming intensity or complexity.
A very tasty dram. Don't let the Scotch snobs steer you away from a very enjoyable 18 year single malt.
Red Ripe Apple, Cinnamon, toffee, vanilla Sherry
Sweet, Oak, Spice, Sherry.
Nutty, Oily, Spicy, Oak
Very smooth and subtle, like all Glenlivets, but I was expecting more complexity and wood character.
Very smooth, love it!
sherry, rich, fruity, caramel, sweet, vanilla, really very lovely. excellent.
This is a great whisky. Very smooth
Perfect harmony between fruity and spicy flavors
Floral slightly marked y spices
Floral and fruity flavors
Good length
!
Perfect well balanced whisky with good harmony, bit of fruityness and spices mixed perfectley
veldig smud, veldig rund,go krydder smak, med masse frukt. perfekt balanset, nydelige
Zeer zacht. Lekker zoet. Honing. Volle smaak. Afdronk mag langer.
full body. smooth. wood. bit of caramel.
Lots of fruit and spice amazing, Glenlivet doesn't let you down
good whisky, long after taste.
fruit, some oak, vanilla sweetness , quite complex. long delicate aftertaste. normally not really a speyside fan but this one is pretty nice for a change.
this is a very smooth oaky Scotch with a very slight sweetness in the background. I very much enjoy it
sweet and mild
smooth
warm, with an oaky finish
good complexity. good to nurse for a while.
best with ice, caramel, smooth, with an long taste
Fruity, oak tastes, after taste will remain long. better than average
Good entry plus level

Fruity and sweet. Bit of peat underneath and a smooth raisin-ey finish. Good but wouldn't consider it a staple.
Pear, sweet, fruity, honey
Smooth, dried fruit, very slight peat
Smokey raisin , charred oak
Not a speyside fan, been trying over and over.. This one is decent. Very fruity, quite complex. Will try more!
light oak and caramel, pleasant with to off flavors
Fruity, hints of vanilla and caramel.
.
Very good deep/full bodied with hints of chocolate
Nice spicey taste with a little sweet.
After taste is very subtle, but in my opinion a little too short compared to the spicy taste.
candy-like
smooth and fruity, long and pleasent finish with a bit of citrus
This is my perfect speyside malt, it's got a lovely rich smell of caramel, honey and toffee. In the mouth it goes down a treat it's so smooth has a great sweet taste full of that great speyside character. Ends with a short but sweet finish. This has a great golden colour to boot!
ripe oranges, marzipan, nut wood, chocolate: great nose. taste: grainy, sweet and sour citric notes, salted toffee and chocolate. the finish isn't too long, with syrup and sweet and sour notes. not a very complex or intriguing whisky, but very well balanced and enjoyable.
well balance, sweet and spicy, smooth
Nice, easy and well balanced dram. Also quite affordable compared to most 18 YOs.
Real sweet, full taste.
Good one
much smoother than expected. spiciness adds a nice kick
sweet mild
Excellent dram, complex and balanced combination of flavors help to absorb the sting of this overpriced (at least for my taste and budget) whisky.
Fruity, soft, and slightly woody nose / oily texture / oilyness stays in the mouth / fruity taste with later on a pleasant dough/flowery taste / also some wood taste / also sweetness / a little peppery "bite" in the fairly long aftertaste. Fine single malt under €70,00.
Lovely balanced. Spicy and fruity.
Rijke volle zachte whisky! Zoete tonen van citrus/sinaasappel. Prima en fijne afdronk.
smooth
A good stady whisky
Smooth with notes of orange and spices.
Awesome quality for the price.
Favorite single so far.

Love the balance between sweet and spice.
