amazing one
Honestly. This reminded me exactly of Buffalo Trace… a whisky almost 1/3rd of the price!
Nowhere near as impressive as the reviews or hype made me think it would be and in this presentation it’s entirely not worth the price.
Where it scores higher that BT is in it’s spicy richness which almost makes you think it’s closer to 48% or more ABV
The cask strength bottling must be amazing though as while this whisky is not good value I still enjoy Buffalo Trace so I wouldn’t mind trying a better presentation of this whisky in future
its good but 3%more abv wold help a lot imho
candy sweet,malt
malt,overgroen banana,oak spisyness
bitter burnd nuts, som wood asj
Tropical on the nose. Sweet on the palate, with almost no burn. Just getting into Irish Whiskys and I'm glad I chose this one.
W zapachu karmel, wanilia. W smaku oleista, lekko ostra, karmel, wanilia, dąb. Miałem większe oczekiwania.
my favorite Irish whiskey. low alcohol %. Very easy to drink. Lots of spice and fruit flavor
A bang for the buck.
A piece of cake.
Always in.
Fantastic on the nose...creamy, fruit, vanilla. honey. Taste is much the same... nicely rounded...very nice
Fond is a fantastic drink
Very nice spice and warmth. Vanilla and honey as well.

Great whiskey. Our family special occasion / toast drink.
smooth honey pear on the nose with butterscotch custard taste.
a little sharp
Definitely tastes like a shortbread cookie on the finish
40% Abv. 80 proof, 12 year old Irish Whiskey, distilled in a single pot still. The Irish take real pride in their Whiskey and for good reason. Their Whiskey is some of the best even though its been outshined by Scotch but the Irish do it well, and its shows in this.
This whiskey is great, it shows what Irish Whiskey is with superb quality. Very little can compete with this in its price range. A nice strong flavor of traditional Irish Whiskey, and those Bourbon characteristics show.
Im putting this as a 82/100, up .5 for value, this being only in the $60 price range. Great Whiskey, I'd love to try the cask strength.
So First, is those traditional floral and toffee notes with some berry (strawberries.) Then, some vanilla and caramel with some honey. Lastly, some brown sugar, espresso, and milk chocolate
Immediately, floral with some honey and vanilla. Then some small hints of milk chocolate with toffee, berry, nuget and some nuttiness.
Finishing with some brown sugar and berry with honey and vanilla.
Voor mij de beste fles Whisky tot nu toe. Zo veel tractatie per slok. Gewoon een volle cake met allemaal specerijen die in je mond wordt gepropt. Mijn nummero Uno!
Wonderful taste of shortbread and vanilla. Very little ethanol taste
Sweet, vanilla, and a bit fruity on the nose. first sip was soft and creamy feeling with some vanilla, honey, and lots of malt. after taking another sip, the spice starts to build and warmth starts building. Start tasting notes of citrus and biscuits. The warmth and spice lingers for a short time. Very easy drinker and enjoyable enough.
Loved this whiskey when I started, and still do. There is a sweet and comforting taste but it's not as complex as many others.
Gentle butter and vanilla
Butter, vanilla, honey, butterscotch
Butter, vanilla
This is supposed to be the benchmark for Irish whiskeys. I enjoyed it, can recommend, although I’d be curious for the cask strength version. See full review below.
Alcoholic note, which is surprising since it’s just 40% abv. Caramel, hint of vanilla, green apples, sweet.
Smooth, butterscotch at the front of my tongue, the typical Irish whiskey feeling.
Complex, medium long, hint of oak and spice. Dried (light) fruits.
Smooth, gentle, complex, burnt vanilla toffee, floral, ginger, some gentle citrus fruits, some wood. A pleasure to drink.
A quintessential simgle.pot still Irish whisky. Great value for the money.
vanilla, short bread, baking spices, carrot cake
sweet, carrot cake, short bread, vanilla, nice oily mouth feel
vanilla, carrot cake, mild spice
cream, fruits on the nose, pepper, creamy, butter.
round toffee and warm taste
This is almost a daily dram for me. The taste of short bread comes through delightfully each time I sit down with it. And a pleasant surprise to anyone I introduce this whiskey to.
a wonderful example of Irish whiskey. smooth and velvety, with a full bodied complexity courtesy of the Sherry cask finish. an extremely easy and subtle sipper that will take me many tastings to work out. best Irish whiskey I've had so far
very subtle butterscotch. and Sherry notes
very delicate and smooth. characteristic Sherry dried fruits and slight bitterness. delicate a velvity. light toasted honey and spice.
subtle and smooth finish. light oil that gives it a velvety sensation.
Apples, honey and cereal grain on the nose, there's is also a faint note I can only compare to model airplane glue which is strangely enticing, smooth and creamy on the palate with malt, apples and honey, the finish is medium length with a little peppery spice.
Great whiskey, single pot still so expect a smooth and easy to drink whiskey.i can't help it but there's a reminiscence of Jameson Black barrel whiskey for me which I also like.
light oak,sweetness,fruity,some spices
Smooth no alcohol burn, there are sherry notes, some wood, fruit
sweet sherry with a whiff of wood and spices
definitely vanilla and caramel hints of sherry easy on the nose and easy sipping.
the nose is sweet vanilla pudding, and lots of it, with a biscuit and caramel note,
smooth on the palate with more vanilla, spice and some freshly cut grass,
caramel and oak on the finish.
what a comfortable tasteful drink.
balanced, sweet, dessert like. lots of flavor going on.
smells like a vanilla dessert. caramel. reminds me of creme brulee.
sweet, oily, brown sugar, hint of coffee, almonds.
sweetness again. marzipan. vanilla pudding. long.
Very smooth, great flavor
Such a beauty. Strong vanilla smell and taste. Beginner whisky.
Vanilla all the way

Świetna, piję z największą przyjemnością, szkoda że się kończy ☹️ delikatna...
smooth,light easy to drink
nice sweet finish ...
good whisky
All round champ of a whiskey. No wo der it is so popular.
smooth and warm, light vanilla with a slight hint of sherry.
Nice representation of Irish whiskey. Light, fruity and slightly sweet.
Butterscotch and apple and pear are bright on the nose.
Light and sweet at the start with the fruit notes found in the nose. Very mild peppery middle.
Finishes well with rounded notes and friendly flavors. The butterscotch taste lingers nicely.
the official "business card" for classic pot still Irish whiskey. You certainly should go for the cask strength version or the 15-year old over this though
Lots of vanilla in this Irish single malt. Nice overall.
Vanilla, oak and sweet fruit.
Sweet and fruity in the front end. Taste of vanilla. Quite spicy alcohol burn on the side.
A bit dry with vanilla and spicy alcohol burn.
bit of vannilla. sherry cask is verry strong... not for me
tbd
sharp green apple, vanilla, soft red delicious
butter on attack, warmth mid palate with some spice
wow. this is by far the most complex Irish whiskey I've had so far. instant favorite.
vanilla, prune
caramel
long and I get a hint of coffee and peach.
Surprisingly complex, this pot still irish whiskey does not disappoint. Very sweet and fruity, with noticeable sherry and honey aromas, some mint, the perfect ammount of spice and grass in the very end. It is both gentle and complex.
Very gentle, subtle oak and sherry, with a light mint aroma completing the fragrance.
Very sweet and spicy, obvious honey with a lot of fruity notes, mostly sherry.
Spicy, with honey and sherry that gradually transform into a grassy taste. It feels like a continuation of the palate, with an earthy, grassy conclusion.
smooth but unremarkable.
Smooth and nice
fruit and floral tastes. full mouth.
This is a great Irish Whiskey with a hint of fruit and smooth finish. One of the better Irish whiskeys out there.
Fruity shortbread cookies. And even at the 40% ABV there is a good amount of spice. It's good, but a bit overrated in my opinion.
Sweet, fruity smell, can't place it. Very smooth, almost reminds me of fruit gushers, medium finish. Fantastic.
Best Irish whiskey I’ve tried. I’m a bourbon lover, it don’t care for scotch. This Irish is very smooth, with none of the dirt/mildew notes I get from every scotch (and some Irish) whiskeys. Highly recommend!
Quite fruity but toasty at same time on the nose.. Very oily and fruity on the palate. Very pleasant.
Very good
sweet, Nice.
Rich, smooth, buttery texture. Slight fatty cashew nutty notes. Bright almost minty spices come next and continue for a nice lingering finish. Overall very easy and tasty drinking!
Such a nice whiskey, a joy to taste
Fruit (green apple), spice, hint of vanilla
hit with fruit right at the start, followed by a nice bite of spice, it all fades to a nice green apple, wonderful mouth feel
fruit fades out slowly, as a little bit of spice still tingles on the tongue
lovely sherried whisky
quite complex spicy and fruity notes
complex spicy and fruity notes
mild creamy fruity and some sherry
quite long
Мягко, приятные шоколадные ноты
Fruity, smooth and creamy whiskey
smooth and light. fruity-sweet.
I didn't like it as well as other Midleton whiskeys, but it was still good. Smooth, no bite, and a nice aroma.
Got it as a gift but so good I will buy it again. Recomendations!
super smooth and tasty. no bite
short smooth finish
butter and shortbread, goes down like water.
Excellent Irish pot still.
Sweet and creamy.

zoet, tikje droog, hout, graan
lang, graan overgaand naar hout
A nice sipping Irish whiskey.
sweet on the nose, full body and smooth on the taste
Very light malt with sweet, fruity and creamy notes. Pleasant finish.
An excellent intro to Irish whiskey. Flavors are mild, but so well ballanced, with sweetness, wood character and that slightest grainy touch
🤘
Not as good as I thought
best irish whiskey I've had. worth a splurge.
butter, shortbread cookie, vanilla, little spice. classic Irish, one of the best.
leichter geruch, süsslich und floral.
Geschmack: süsslich, zitrus, flach (kein Alk-brennen)
Abgang: mittel, leichter salzig
Nice easy sipping whiskey. Has definitely become one of my go to whiskeys.
a pleasant sour note I can't put a name on, cookie dough, oloroso sherry, honey, slightly overdone toast, but not uncomfortable. the aftertaste is peppery, oaky and heavier on the toast
buttery buscuits and honey. sweet baked good nose. creamy and smooth dram
i don't own many Irish whiskeys but this is one of my favorites! a goto choice in my collection
Wood is very evident, very subtle notes of caramel on the nose. Builds to a peppery finish.
Subtle caramel, wood
Smooth sherry at first, then comes the dry heat.
Builds up to a nice, peppery punch them mellows to woody afterburn
typical of Irish whiskeys, very sweet and smooth. would recommend
Really nice Irish Whisky, very complex.
my favorite wiskey
Dry oak nose, initial alcohol is strong with a mid burn that is not strong, lingers into floral notes
Très bonne découverte de ce whisky irlandais. Merci Gaby 29 de cette dégustation.
Favorite Irish whiskey. Smooth and complex.
love it
very smooth
Nose is sweet with slightly harsh finish. Well balanced, sweet relatively simple taste.
Great pot still whiskey. pleasure to drink...
one of my favorites. great all around whiskey.
smooth with a great finish. A solid Irish favorite.
My day to day Whiskey, smooth, soft and warm, one if the finest Irish Whiskey out there, beautiful Pot still.
One of the best Ireland has to offer. Smooth.
A very nice single pot Irish whisky. The nose was almost better than the taste. Mild/smooth for a 12y whisky. Though I'm not a fan of Irish whisky I found it some whst pleasant.
smooth, creamy, fruity with a nice spice at the end. not a huge fan of Irish whisky, but this definitely sold me.
nice whisky. A bit more body than Jameson.
Super drank
Für meinen Geschmack ein sehr gefälliger Whisky der mich ganz unaufgeregt überzeugt.
pretty good stuff
excellent flavor and really smooth. just cant justify the price
honey and vanilla, crisp cookie and baking spices. very well balanced richness that makes this bottle an amazing Irish Whiskey
This is a genre-defining, benchmark Irish whisky. Best you can find under $100 a bottle.
A beautiful whiskey: silky smooth and honey-like with some slight floral notes.
Very surprised by this Redbreast 12.
It's a pot still, triple distilled and bottled at 40% Abv.
The nose is a harmonic ensemble of sherry, fruit, cream, vanilla and roasted nuts with gentle alcohol.
The taste starts of soft, even watery, but alcohol and spice slowly built op to an explosion of peppery spice.
But that's balanced with sweet fruit and caramel.
The long firm spicy finish also is a complex mixture of all the things mentioned above.
Advisable for lovers of sweet complex and bold flavours.
Score 84.
My favorite whiskey to date. It is soft on the nose and pallet. It leaves a slight warming feeling in your throat and stomach, but not in a harsh way.
This is a great Whisky great value and just a pleasure to drink.
Warm spicy vanilla on the nose with some sweetness
Warm and inviting flavors of vanilla cinnamon and mild oak
Finish is warm not overly spicy and as well balanced as it dissipated off of the senses.
If one was made to pick a whiskey to drink at breakfast this would be it such a delightful drink. Reminds me of a warm summer's day
Pretty smooth, slight sweet, slight oak
it's a warm hug in whiskey form. Sweet, fruity, and a buttered toast background that holds it all together. buy it.
Sweet nose, single dimensional body, woody sweet finish. Clearly pot still whiskey that all other Irish whiskies have but in less abundance.
Sweet and malty
Flat
Sweet and floral malty, long, flavors of what all blended whiskies are trying to achieve
Soft, light, and smooth. Quite easy to drink. Good bang for your buck with this one.
very fruity, smooth, unmistakable pot still style. raisins and cherries definitely on the palate. finishes with some citrus, lemon and lime. more complex than you would think!!
Soft whiskey, nice one
just an easy pleasure for just a good irish whiskey
Very honey-like taste with a smooth finish
Sweet, caramel, maple syrup, cherry. Still like Jameson better.
I was a little bit disappointed. not really my taste
smoother than the 15. has a bit of a bite at first.
Wonderful Irish whiskey... warms the soul as well as the body, and makes me long for the land of my ancestors. What more could one ask of a whiskey?
Mon premier pure pot still. une belle expérience.
Delicious. Great introduction to Irish single pot still whiskey.
Bright. A good sherry presence. Nice complexity.
Nice blend, but I prefer a smoother whiskey
My first Irish Whisky. Very impressed..Great Beginner Whisky.Try it.

My all time favourite whiskey, and at an extremely reasonable price point too! A wonderful flavour, goes down smooth. Do yourself a favour and buy it!
One of the best pot whiskey I ever drunk. Probably one of the best Irish whiskey
