A complex big peat smoke pinch in the face blended malt scotch
brine, seaweed, leather, smoke
malty, fruity, smoky
long and complex finish that lingers
It's a reely Nice glass with peat and a lot of swetness afthertaste. I think it is reely a lot of re-used vasks here. It's a okei dram=) no sharpness balanced and rounded month fill.
Nose: peaty obviously. Totally different from ardbeg or lagavulin. Medicinal. Apricots plums. Refreshing for a peated whisky
Taste: burns middle of tongue. Long after taste. Smoke and sweet peat. Very nice.
Surprisingly sweet, especially at the beginning. it starts with honey and melon, plus a bit of grass, then it unfolds into heavy peat and salt. A little brine, and bacon, but all complimented by the overarching sweetness. The flavors are nice, though I wish it was a little less watery.
A great combination of my favorite malts brings out one of the best blended malted whisky I have tasted! Nice but not overpowering peat and smoke makes this an everyday Dram! A few drops of water brings out some fruit for me!
Delicious smoky blend that can act as a nice gateway into Islay. Especially people who enjoy Laphroaig shpuld give this one a try.
Amazing blend. fresh and fruity smoke show.
light peat. apple cider vinegar
cinnamon. sour apple. pepper.
peat. spice.
On the nose: hot butter, lobster, plantain
to taste: some stinky cheese, banana, rubber, a citrus rind of some kind, honey, anise, wood stain
Really tasty dram. I knew I would like it based on its ingredients, 40% Laphroiag 20% Ladaig 13% Caol Ila 26% Ardmore 1% Highland. It's like drizzling smoked honey over smoked bacon and meat, without getting too greasy. Surprising amount of crispness, clarity.
well balanced peat. smokey yet sweet together. Peat that lasts but is not overpowering. really enjoying this.
nose:light peat, Apple sauce, vinegar, sour
palate: peat, clean, light body, fruity after awhile
finish: light musky smoke, soft, bitter distant fruit in a non sweet way
Lovely smoky whisky. Not a heavy peat but long and lingering
very smokey and taste good
sweet and lean
smooth strong and smokey
lean and very tasty and smokey
Très bon blend très tourbé.
Subtle for a blend called Peat Monster. A good punch of peat on the front end, giving way to peanut oil and almonds. Smoke and a touch of chocolate on the back end.
Nice blend for balanced, but heavy peat.
strong nose with oil, nuts and some bitter notes. when u taste it, the first thing you notice is the peat but leave it for a while and/ or ad some water and it settles down a bit. now you get a rich palate of earthy tones. with hazelnuts, smoke and peat but some dark chocolate as well. it all ends in a long, smokey and oily finish.
not a fan, reminds of flavored whiskey, ie honey jack, fireball etc but with peat instead of honey
not a fan.
