Let it sit for some 15 - 20 minutes (with a lid over the glass) and you get a lovely aroma of vanilla, citrus, ripe oranges and orange zest, honey and brown sugar, with a whiff of chocolate at the end.

An inviting, promising nose if you give it enough time to breath, but the further development never really happens. This could be so much more and so much better if it was bottled at 46% (or even at 43%). Nevertheless, a good easy sipper, the kind of whisky to warm up the palate before you dive into more complex stuff.
