General description

Strong oak and vanilla scent. Very simple and classic bourbon, sweet and spicy on the tongue with tons of oak, vanilla and caramel. Spicy and quick finish!

General description

The basic and standard whiskey of the wild turkey lineup, standing along side 101. This is a blend of 6-8 year old whiskeys.

Its good, I'm a fan of wild turkey for using a high rye recipe for their bourbon. It really shows in each whiskey and in my opinion puts them ahead of others in their price range. They really carry themselves with humility compared to companies like Jim Beam who price their good whiskey near $100, while wild turkey releases Rare Breed's for $60 max. If you find rare breed (actually pretty hard in my area) its a no hesitation pick up but back to this, its a nice casual sipper.

Rating: 70/100, No value points, because the price is justified. (purchased for $22.99)

Nose

So Immediately on the nose, you get that rye spice and berry. That is accompanied a nice floral and mesquite, with some baking spice and caramel.

Palate

On the palate its just a nice blend of floral, rye, berry, and baking spice. The second sip shown some lemon citrus, cinnamon, and chocolate.

Finish

Really Basic 3 piece finish of rye spice with some berry and brown sugar.
