Part of a cheese and whisky tasting. Paired beautifully with Kintyre cheddar. A delicate but to me a complex dram. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Apples, vanilla, a touch of smoke and a nice peppery kick on the tongue. Decent after dinner sipper.
Geruch von Honig und reifen Früchten.
Honey, spicy, wood.
Honey
Geur: fruitig en kruidig
Smaak: Ook erg fruitig en kruidig
Afdronk: zoet, donker fruit
Very sharp and spicy, good taste, aftertaste spicy but not to long. Good whiskey.
Initially, it has a soft, sweet, and floral nose with a pronounced honeydew melon note. It tastes of a sweet flaky cereal like honey bran flakes again with a floral notenote and sweet apple. Overall, it is soft, sweet and floral whisky with some fruit and some cereal. Very good light option. Probably best with a very clean palate.
Smooth and dry, sweet, a little smoky
smooth, sweet easy drinking
sweet and orangy, with some smoke and oak
short smoky and dry
Niet te heftig. prima whisky
nez : fruits (orange ananas) et vanille
bouche : sur l'amertume de l'orange, la douceur du miel, notes acidulées en fin de bouche.
final : longue, sur le miel

Do you know the feeling that you miss something, and you don’t know what it is? You won’t have this one after trying Dalwhinnie 15yo — you’ll be certain what exactly you have missed, especially if you are a bee.
It smells like a huge barrel of honey with a pinch of white pepper and a bee’s size pinch of cloves. Being rather a bee or simply in a mood for something light, sweet and tender, that’s exactly what you need, even though there is nothing else.
You take a sip and feel its fast and moderately strong arrival with a slight oiliness enswathing your mouth. After that appear smoke, woodiness, unusual sourness of the berries, and it’s all quite malty. But then a little bee in your head screams: “Hang on, you liar! Where is honey? Where is damn sweetness?!” And that little anti-racist (black’n’yellow guy) is right — this malt is really shy of sweet stuff. In addition, there is not much at all in the finish: smoke stays in, apples appear, and that’s it.
However, it doesn’t make this one bad — it simply doesn’t allow it to be more than a decent whisky.
Given a set of taste flaws, Dalwhinnie still managed to make an enjoyable malt — a sign of quality and right attitude. If they keep it that way, my bees will give them as many chances as they need.
Loads of honey, white pepper and a tiny hint of cloves.
Fast and rather strong arrival, slightly oily. Smoke, oak, berry-like sourness. Quite malty. Shy of sweetness.
Smoke and apples.
Zachte whisky vol van smaak. Honing en een lange afdronk wat rokerig
kruidig
honing, zoet
lange afdronk, wat rokerig
My third whisky. Liked it the best of the three (Teeling, Tomatin 12 and this one)
Better aftertaste. Fuller in general than the other two.
Mooie goudgele kleur. Honing in de neus. Licht zoete middellange afdronk.
great starting whiskey. excellent taste, doesnt lasted long on the pallet, overall a damn good scotch
Easy drinking whisky ideal for people new to whisky. Light honey, butterscotch and vanilla. Never lasts long!
Smooth whisky, which never disappoints. One of my favourites.
Wäre für meinen Geschmack ziemlich perfekt, ist mir aber immer einen Zacken zu brandig.

Great Taste! My Favoriten Scotch.
Smooth, sweet whisky
A lot of honey and malt flavours.
Personally adding 1 strawdrop water opens it up immensely, the honey taste is watered down a little, you taste a little oak and a smokey touch
For the price definitely one of my go to whiskies, I'll always will have this on the shelve
fresh nose with kiwi and some sherry, warming on the palate with banana and dank sherry
This was a pleasant surprise. Never expected to be that good. Well done! Chears
Sweet and soft with subtle hints of smoke and malt, very easy drinking.
Sehr guter Einsteiger, Honig, geht runter wie Öl, leicht sprittig.

Highlands, what else? Very good, excellent
value for money
N: creamy, toffee, fruity, almonds(?)
M:vanilla, honey, dried fruit, oily.
F:Long with fruit and almonds. Sweet
This is a decent whisky. The nose especially is wonderfully fruity, with lots of depth and rich aroma. I think for me however, it lands in the low 80s, because the oak notes of the cask influence are too strong to my taste and the finish just slightly too short and lacklustre. Many will love this whisky though, it’s a top malt and definitely worth a try!
Honey, floral and lots of fruit on the nose. There’s pear drops, ripe peach, figs, cherry, heather and just a hint of a bourbon-esque caramel coming through in the background.
This is a developer. Move it around the palate for a while to really experience the full flavour profile. It’s malty at first, along with honey notes and just a hint of sweet smoked paprika coming through. Then some of the fruits from the nose show themselves, particularly cherry, but now with raisins. The palate then drys as tannins become apparent, leading to earthy malt along with strong oak and vanilla notes.
I’d say this whisky has a medium finish, with dry notes of walnut and oak complimented by barley sugar sweetness.
a Nice sweet and easy to drink whisky.
Light and floral but too light
Very good highland Wiskey
Very light and floral
Honey, caramel, great taste, I lile like it
kruidig en granig, maar wel subtiel
aardig voor zijn geld
best single malt i ever tryed
zoetig, ietwat rokerig. Prima, maar plain
Fruchtig und fein im Abgang.
enigszins toegankelijk. zoetig honing en lichte rook. drinkt lekker weg.
smooth, easy going down, fruity
A little bit boring actually.
Taste is subtle yet strong, and then it fades away quite quickly.
A fine whisky but nothing memorable.
Grain and hayfields
Fruity and strong alcohol taste
Honey, caramel, bread
Sweet and rather balanced. Not so strong on the nose, quite short finish. Malt, honey and pear, mainly on the palate.
Dolentet. Suposo que millor que el JB o el Ballantine's, però francament, millor no comprar mai per consum propi
honey sweet wiskey with hints of fruit
spices and unripe fruits
honey, black peppers, pears and slight hint of vanilla
way too short but pleasant. flowers very strange
Hints of flowers and sweetness. Strong open with pleasant finish.
Well balanced honey whisky with taste of pear and fruity
it's a reely good rounded wiskey. a lot of pear, cinnamon, honney this is a good glass of wiskey
zacht van smaak. niet veel nasmaak
Nice and smooth
Easy drinkable, sweet and smooth, not much aftertaste.
Sweet and light at first, that passes quickly without much of an aftertaste.
a tad sweet that needs air and maybe a drop of water or two. it's average at best in my opinion
Complex and well rounded, fancy composition
Honey, apricot, vanilla...
Vanilla, peach, lemon, apricot...
Marzipan, wallnuts, honey...
sweet fruit, bit grainy smell. sweet taste, fruity and floral with nice hint of wood. rather simple but very drinkable
romige vanille met een vleugje rook.
Not a masterpiece but a really good deal considering the price. A balanced whisky with a good fruity taste.
Fruity (apple kind), floral
Vanilla, honey
light mouth feel. sweet taste in there somewhere too
sweet and light
red apples and honey, a little hint of oak
sweet and light. a very simple profile.
oak and a little smoke set in after you swallow.
had this neat, think id prefer an ice cube, too harsh on my tongue
While a good 15-year old, I prefer a more complex flavor profile. It is not unreasonably priced. I think a less expensive alternative for a similar experience could be had tasting many 10 and 12 year-olds. If you’re into longer caskings, re-caskings or ex-sherry filled this may appeal to you.
so mutch taste and feeling
Richtig gut. Kremig vollmundig süß leicht rauchig mit richtig Abgang. Macht Spaß.
light, vanilla, honey, flowers, little smoke
Great beginner whisky. Smooth with much honey
zoetige houtsmaak met honingtonen
easy to drink
Smooth, soft, sweet, honey. This is an exelent choice for a affordable desert whisky. And a nice break from more intense whiskies.
quite a punchy peaty tang. very warm, sweet and smooth. best at room temp I think.
bien
prima beginners whisky. Klein beetje zoet en stroperig. Prijs kwaliteit is zeer goed.
Easy drinking dram that doesn't have the harshness of a younger whisky. Not much to shout about but definitely worth trying for beginners.
Nice beginner whisky.
God begynder whisky
Great whisky with honey and citrus under tones. Perfect to have in the collection as a comparison whisky if you don't like your smoke.
Little to neutral for my taste. Also there is no real after taste
Nice smooth dram from Dalwhinnie. Possibly a bit overpriced for what it is.
Smooth & sweet.
Rich, vanilla. Lightly honeyed with a barley body.
Initially strong but subsides promptly.
Nice and smooth
Mild und voll!
smooth not much of a finish.
Très bon merci LVR 44.
good taste , honey end
toegankelijke whisky. Niet heel spannend maar wel lekker. goed flesje om altijd in huis te hebben
Tastes a little bit like vanilla.
Good for beginners. Doesn't really excel anywhere.
Sweet, but not much character
Crisp apple flavours but poo nose
In der Nase Vanille, Annanas. Im Mund scharfe Alkoholnot, fruchtig, etwas Karamell.
Ein paar tropfen Wasser tun ihm gut.
Gentle, smoky, good for beginners and your casual evening drink
Not real fond
One of my favourites. soft and rich

sweet marzipan (i suggest not to drink any sweet whiskey before this)
very smooth
okey taste
Invitingly soft nose, flowery notes and lingering smokey finish
sehr mild, gut trinkbar
leicht rauchig, aber dann fruchtiger
wenig highlights, prickelt etwas
A terrific choice for those who like a smoky finish that sustains. Hints of honey and vanilla. One of my favorites!
Definitely a good one
Een van de classic malts
te scherp
Gentle and quite fresh. Nice in food parings with dark chocolate
gaat
A delicate dram, but with complexities to be found if you're patient. Full of honey and heather, quite pleasant but not so rich as its age might suggest.
Heather, floral, honey, sweetness, fruit, caramel
Spices, floral, oak, honey, malt, oil, raspberry
Apple, malt, honey
Nice, Sweet and balanced to drink.
Very subtle and honey sweet.
Stays smooth and subtle all the way.
Not to sweet well balanced
Mildly sweet hints of toasted vanilla
Vanilla a touch of smoke a snip of honey
Mild oak
Nose reveals hints of vanilla and fruit. Taste is very sweet, dessert-like. Enjoyed with chocolate. Preferred neat after dinner.
A little rougher around the edges than the McCallan, but in a way that's perfectly adult, still no smoky, but less sweet, less syrup, best if neat
Very malt and sweet. recommended!
Today the tasting of another Diageo classic malt. The Dalwhinnie 15Y.
On the nose it is very sweet and fruity with apple, pear, vanilla and honey. Along with some hay and a touch of peat.
The 43% abv is friendly to the nose.
The taste is sweet, again with vanilla and honey, but also oaky spicyness.
The long spicy finish is a bit dry, but the honey and the touch of peat bring back the balance to this dram.
People who don't like peat or sherry bombs probably will like this one, but it's not my favourite.
76 points for this one.
Sweet Honey Vanilla Taste. Easy Ro Drink. aftertaste little smoke
very perfumed. pear. hets sweeter in the finish.
pleasant. Honey giving way to a hint of smoke in aftertaste. very easy to drink

Sehr leichter Whiskey

Fruchtig-süßer, milder Whisky für jede Gelegenheit

Honey and vanilla, great example of Bourbon cask; dependable highland malt.
Sweet vanille taste, very mild. Your reasonalbe everyday single malt.
le goût du miel est excellent en fin de bouche. bonne dégustation
Nice, mild, but not so exceptionnal.
Guter whisky leichtrauchig gute eingearbeitete süße
reasonably mild and I enjoyed drinking it. But it was not so special and i have tasted a lot of similar whiskeys.
not as smooth as I'd hoped considering that dalwhinnie winters gold is in my top 5.
fine whisky that never disappoints, i always notice the "fireworks flavour" and the nutmeg.
For me taste is like a reminder.
this one reminds me of an unexpected gift
My favourite whiskey. This serves as a great whiskey for those wanting to move on from the Glens.
An enjoyably bold Highlander, fruity, nutty and sweet, but not cloyingly so. Overall, a very pleasing dram.
sweet and honey.
Good but a little boring.
A sharp Highland whisky with tastes of fruit and nuts. It finishes of with a hint of smoke.
Great whisky for introducing someone to the tastes - even got positive comments from my whiskey disliking mother in law! Lovely and smokey! Delicious!
Heerlijke zachte, vriendelijke whisky. Top voor de beginnende whisky drinker.
Light floral honey.
heerlijke zachte whisky
Perfectly drinkable if lacking complexity
Vienna, smoky, honey,
Smooth with a smoky after taste.
