Alguna nota ahumada, centeno, algo de café
I received a WR Limited Edition Gift Box for Christmas 2021. The crystal rocks glass that came with, is very heavy and substantial. It is a welcome addition to my small Glencairn collection.
I am sipping it neat from the taller Glencairn glass.
It smells and tastes of Oak, yet finishes sweet & spicy with no bite to speak of.
When I say that I wouldn't buy this again, I mean for personal use. I would keep a bottle of this in my bar for guests and the occasional dabble.
Oak dominate
Oak
Sweet and spicy with no bite
Rich, sweet, and spice. Notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and a little bit of grass in behind the sweetness and spices. Really good one.
I'm not the biggest bourbon fan, but this is generally quite and smooth, with sweet notes of vanilla and a tart spiciness to finish. One of the few bourbons I'd be hapoy to drink neat rather than diluted by Cola!!
Vanilla, Burnt sugar
Cola, Caramel
Spice, tart, alcohol
Smooth with soft caramel, vanilla and butter.
very smooth with Hints of fruit
very strong vanilla, toffee. a bit spicy and spice lingers on tounge. overall very good.
another go too for me.
sweet, standard bourbon flavor. not a fan of the strong finish.
vanilla, spice, and oak. Slight heat and taste of turpentine but not horrible.
Peppery smooth with hints of vanilla. Long finish with a slow burn as it goes down
This is my go to. Slight burn. Big flavor.
Oak, light smoke.
very oaky, little rye spice, not sweet, medium finish.
very good
Solid whiskey, a bit sweet with woody notes to it, nose has quite a bit of sweetness, palette isn't very sweet, but the finish has quite a bit. Not bad. Don't like it in cocktails at all, but it's decent neat.
Prefer other things at the price, but it's not a terrible buy
Just was not a fan of this. To me I did not get any sweet flavors out of it. It had a hint of vanilla but that's about it in terms of sweetness.
Smoky and warm.
Banana raisins prunes cocoa brown sugar vanilla creamy oak caramel toffee sweet spice citrus maple syrup
typical bourbon notes. vanilla caramel and a nice strong oak. medium finish. very solid
I get banana on the nose. Lighter bodied, with subtle flavors. Not much of a finish, but overall, well rounded and pleasant
Usually I'm a scotch guy, but this is my favourite bourbon to date.
solid drinkable bourbon. mild bite with a caramel finish. classic bourbon taste. very solid whisky
subtle honey and sweetness. not astringent.
slightly oily with caramel. sharp bite that disapates quickly. moderate bourbon and oaky notes. mild honey flavor
medium length finish with slightly oily after taste. ends smooth and pleasant
just started drink whiskey, enjoy more than bulleit. no harsh after taste, will have again
A little hot when first opened
Sweet and caramel heavy on the nose followed by moderate sweetness and mild pepper on the palate. Smooth and easy drinking.
Pleasantly sweet and lots of caramels with a hint of butter.
Nice round sweetness initially which moves into a mild pepper note. Nothing harsh.
The pepperiness holds a little while on the palate when the other flavors fade away relatively quickly.
Decent Bourbon, nice oak flavor
If i did a blind test on this and one of the questions was, from what country do I believe it originated from, I would've said that it could've only been made in the States! A purely strong 'Murican whiskey. Drunk straight... unless you're John Wayne, it could use a trio of ice cubes. Will try next time.
deep, robust, Smokey, good fall bourbon
Schön angenehmer Vanille Geschmack, Orange, Honig. Ideal, wenn man Lust auf einen leicht trinkbaren, nicht zu bitteren Bourbon hat.
amaretto, honey, vanilla, light leather
Not one of my favorites but a decent pour and stays fairly true to the Bourbon taste.
Sweet vanilla and honey upfront, but some spice once you take a sip.
honey, vanilla, oak
spice, cinnamon, honey, apple
smooth
Easy to drink. Nice orange and vanilla notes pretty smooth. Good buy for the price.
my favorite bourbon easy on the pallet, very affordable
very easy to drink for me, on the sweet side with a lot of honey
Has all characteristics of a good bourbon. No bourbon fan would hate a bottle.
This is the Bourbon, that confirmed, that I don't like Bourbon. Got it as a present and tastes as if it was perfumed. Definately not for me.
excellent ;dependable ; not overly sweet
One of my 1st bourbons. A good beginner whiskey. All the bourbon flavors are but I'll take Elijah Craig over it.
Vanilla, brown sugar
Wood, caramel, brown sugar
Oak tannins, Vanilla extract
warm, alcohol taste on every sip, citrusy?
Vanilla, charred oak, some orange. I don't love the nose. Alcohol heat present in every step. Spices are there but almost masked by alcohol.
This is the bourbon that got me drinking bourbon. I will always have some of this around.
leichtes Karamell, kurz am Gaumen.
This is my wife's favorite! The only bourbon she'll drink near.
Good value easy drinking, sweet
Vanilla and sweet honey semi smooth
honey, vanilla, burnt sugar to apricot
Vanilla and apricot, warmth to burn
I didn't like it taste and smell like "tärpätti" it was quite awful bourbon first tasting
to me, unpleasant.
Vanilla, caramel, small traces of wood. Very smooth, simple.
vanilla, caramel, burn.
great nose! vanilla, caramel, cedar/wood
basic bourbon
dry - quick finish
basic...go to bourbon... nothing to exciting but just okay...woody.... pretty smooth...
this is my go to bourbon, it's never steered me wrong. it's really great for it's price.
A solid, well-tasting bourbon. I enjoy the rich flavor.
Sweet and spicy. A solid sipper that doesn't do anything wrong, just lacks complexity.
Spicy, wood, caramel
Spicy, caramel, sweet, vanilla
Lasting spice, a bit woody
Very good and much better than I remember. Better pours can be found for $40 but on sale or at a bar... absolutely recommend.
The Copper Top
Very smooth.
Smooth and balanced. Thanks Phil!
Enjoyable bourbon, long oaky finish.
Toffee, caramel, oak.
A bit light, sweet, vanilla, caramel, toffee, toasted oak.
Caramelized toasted oak.
Introduced by a co-worker/friend. A favorite!
enjoyable. smooth with a nice flavor
New to whiskey, so not an expert on detecting notes/flavors, but on the nose I get butterscotch & vanilla. And now that I say that, I can taste the vanilla.
Butterscotch, vanilla
Vanilla
Very smooth and complex flavor
Bourbon standard. High corn in grain bill highlights this as a straight bouron
vanilla, banana, caramel
sweet, light oak, biscuit
coffee, alchohol heat
very pleased with this one
nice flavor and easy to sip
This is my go to whiskey when I am out
really good
cherries and vanilla with oak influence moderate spice
Well rounded entry level started Bourbon. Exceptionally smooth with subtle hints of oak, nuts, caramel, and honey. A great mixer and a must have addition to any whisky cabinet.
nose of honey, oaky and honey taste with a medium burn, honey lingers on after taste
Vanilla, corn and oak scent, charred fruit and alcohol burn taste with a long astringent finish. I'd use it just for those min juleps on Derby Day.
My favorite blend of taste and price
After some time, I poured me a dram of this Woodford Reserve. I smell glue, corn, honey and caramel. On the palate oak, glue, hints of fruits. Finish is warming and short to medium. Good value for money but not at all extraudinary.
excellent
a good sipping bourbon
Great sipper. Good balanced bourbon
smooth and inexpensive
It's very smooth. If the bite from other whiskey keeps you away, try this. It will open your eyes to enjoying the tastes of whiskey. No need to add a bunch of other junk to it to make it tolerable.
smooth, vanilla, wood
this is one of my favorite go-to beverages
nice smooth flavor reasonably priced
Delightful and tastes nothing like guava juice.
Smooth, great flavor
