It’s the best I’ve personally ever had - giving it a 97 in hopes there may be something out there better! But it’s just astounding. I had a 2009 bottle that was $2,300 - but no, I didn’t buy it - a friend was kind enough to share. I enjoyed it over some ice and Diet Coke. Just kidding! This bourbon was super smooth, I taste vanilla and spice, maybe nutmeg. Of course I drank it neat. ;)
45.2% abv. Angels share is approx 12% in 1st year and then 6% each year afterwards, hence somlittle of it by the time it gets to 20yr old. The acolades recieved, such as 100 out 100 scores are well deserved. It's what all bourbons want to grow up to be.

Musty, flat berries with leather. Flavours subdued as if oxygenated or watered down. I understand the rage to collect it, but I don't get it.
Way too rough for the price.
I feel it is second in the PVW like e to the 15yr. I love wheated bourbon and this one is great, spicier than the 15yr. Great nose but it is just starting to get too much woodiness.
Nose: Caramel popcorn that has been drenched in sweet cream butter, notes of finely aged full grain leather, dates and cherries.
Palate: Dark fruit, caramel popcorn, tobacco, finely aged full grain leather and oak tannin's.
Finish: Sweet and smooth for its age, hints of vanilla and oak on the very end.
Better with a dash of water. Loads of vanilla balancing nail polish
