Oaky, warm and sweet with a medium finish.

|Age||7 years old|
Oaky, warm and sweet with a medium finish.
maple syrup, vanilla, butter
vanilla, caramel, heavy coffee
round, dark, lingering coffee
Sweet vanilla, red fruit oak and dry finish.
Sweet vanilla and red fruit. peach and oak.
Sweet vanilla cake. barrel tannin. light char and medium oak.
Dry and lasting finish.
Oak obviously. But also dark chocolate, black cherry, and a hint of coffee. Interesting and different.
Great everyday whiskey.
A little astringent
Slightly hot, caramel, vanilla.
Pleasantly warm and lingering
Incredibly smooth and oaky Bourbon. Nice notes and finish all around d
Flavourful, smooth. This bottle much better than the first one I tried. Better neat you get more of the different flavors and I like everything on the rock.
love that char
Very much your stereotypical bourbon but very well done. Nose has vanilla, oak, caramel, and corn notes. Something about this particular combination, I can sniff this for hours. It is amazing on the nose. Palate offers same notes as the nose but also a bit od cloves, leather, and spice. Spice lingers on your tongue for a bit of time along with the oaky notes plus a touch of vanilla. It is the best of all things bourbon.
Very balanced and smooth with strong notes of caramel and tobacco.
Smooth taste, caramel flavor , with even finish.
Tasted at Jim & Sheila's on 2020-07-12. Syrupy taste on the lips indicated higher ABV to me. Caramel taste with a finish on the harsher side.
Solid whiskey with notes of carmel, dried pineapple, dark fruits, and toasted nuts. Smooth yet dry finish with a marzipan close. A dash of water opens up more fruit notes and brings the carmel forward.
Oh my, I loved this one. Just a little spiciness on the tongue, huge flavors of butterscotch and burnt sugars. So far I've really enjoyed anything from Woodford, this one was great. I haven't tried it mixed yet, but I'd recommend it to those that want a sweeter flavor experience.
Complex and big up front. Smooth.
Nose is potent, with hints of maple and oak. Full bodied, with slight orange flavor, and a smooth finish with notes of notes of coffee and toffee. Overall, a rich and well-balanced bourbon.
Good nose with notes of vanilla and caramel. Very well balanced. A little sharp initially, but the finish numbs it.
rich, smokey, good finish
amazing bourbon, sweet, sweet nose with maple syrup, brown sugar, caramel and a hint of vanilla, but also some spicyness and pepper. realy nice.
on the palate velvety smooth, the first thing is a charred oak, spicy peppers, but also a lovely sweetness.
on the finish, oaky, vanilla, creme brulee, butterscotch into a slight drying and bitter note at the very end. best bourbon I have tried so far.
real smooth. woody leather slightly smokey and vanilla caramel nose. taste follows suit with a nice robust finish
A bit hot, oaky, but sweet
fantastic nose, with dark chocolate ,burned sugar, some fruitiness
the nose is wonderful after smelling this you can't wait for a sip
I was little disappointed by the taste, that wonderful nose was hard to find in the taste. nonetheless this is a good whiskey presented in a nice bottle
Wonderfully buttery mouth feel with strong caramel flavors. I always seem to forget how good this is.
Sweet, ripe red fruits and plums, vanilla, leather, chocolate, caramel, and oak. Complex and continuously unfolding flavors, extremely smooth, no burn. Highest rating out of 90 bourbons/whiskies I tasted to date.
Caramel, strong, semi sweet.
Didn't excite me, prefer the straight Woodford's
Really enjoyable. Chocolate undertones. Great nose, viscous with a great deep colour.
Burnt caramel and vanilla.
Viscous,. smooth, some dark chocolate. Bit of late spice.
Short and spicy.
VANILLA, with heavy oak notes.
This is a very good pour. I am not certain of the price point but based on taste, it is on point. The oak notes over power the vanilla and subtle floral notes I usually pick up from WR, but it's still good. The finish is a bit smoky but not unexpectedly. This is not an everyday sipper due to the heavy oak, but it definitely works as a change of pace.
Des notes de caramel brun, de vanille, de fut toasté au nez et en bouche. Patissier, très gourmand.
big brown sugar flavor. very oaky.
one of my favorites
Good all around. I can definitely dissect the various flavors.
Remarkable, I like oak influence in a whiskey and this one truly has it. Overpowering toasted oak compared to the their regular bourbon. I prefer it neat, but it makes an outstanding Old fashioned cocktail.
Sweet caramelized toasted oak.
Almonds, coconut, intense oak, smoke caramel, vanilla.
Toasted caramel and oak.
Aroma: dark fruits, caramel, honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak.
Taste: Full and complex with vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruits and spices.
Finish: Long and creamy with honey glazed apples
Leather and smoke flavors predominant this flavorful bourbon
Leather and roasted nut aroma
Lightly spiced, very woody and slight smoky aftertaste
Hint of heat, mildly earthy
Delicious and smooth. Oak is prevalent, with the sweet taste of a caramel and maple finish.
Harsh wood esters up front. Large end bite. Mellows over time to some hints of vanilla and maple. Mild sweet finish
pour it tawny color. Aroma of caramel and some woody notes. Taste not so well abalanced for my opinion but it's nice.
Amazing. One my my favs. But again. Top shelf price.
