General description

What a beautiful rye. Full of flavor. One of my favorites.

Color: Tawny

General description

Rich, sweet rye. Notes of honeysuckle, caramel, tobacco, and strong, lingering rye spice. The rich flavors dissipate fairly quickly but the rye spice sticks around for a while. There are better ryes out there for cheaper but you won't be disappointed with picking this one up.

Nose

Caramel, honeysuckle, juicy fruit (gum)

Palate

Sweet, wintergreen, brown sugar, rye spice, medium-full bodied, syrupy mouth feel, sweet tobacco

Finish

Molasses, rye spice, lingering tobacco

General description

Cold weather rye with a great palate. The nose is medicinal and oaky with a strong rubbing alcohol scent. The palate is great and opens up with a mix of smooth sweetness followed by tingling spicyness; honey and caramel, followed by cinnamon and allspice. Great rye to have around and for some reason seems very appealing during the colder months. This would be great as an egg nog mixer if i can get around to actually keeping some around for that purpose.

Nose

rye bread, black pepper, rubbing alcohol and oak

Palate

honey, cinnamon, fresh water, tangerine peels, caramel, allspice

Finish

oak and spice

General description

Lots of complexity going on here. Pumpernickel bread, vanilla, caramel, roasted fruit, dill pickle, oak, black tea, cinnamon, leather, nutmeg, and pepper. A very sweet and savory whiskey.

Bottled in bond, well executed

Long and complex, candied cherries, soft fruits
