It's possible to spend a lot more than the price of this bottle and not find something as interesting. After a few sips, the initially shocking clove like herbal flavours begin to meld with the bourbon and it all starts making sense. Curiously tasty.
Odd mix of herbal tea and tin on the nose. Taste feels almost watered down. I can see the appeal, but not my cup of tea.
Its main appeal is it's unusual. Gives the impression of herbal liquor. It's a bit out there and likely to be very polarizing. Would probably be very interesting in a cocktail, but from here on I am only (carefully) buying their single barrel bourbon.
Industrial taste, burnt mouthfeel in my opinion. Not for me, that said I'm not big on bourbons to start with but this was rather disappointing still.
Tastes like it was stored in a tin can. Smells better than it tastes but the pretty bottle is the only reason it's still on my shelf. Some apple, citrus, mint and metal. Nowhere near worth the $50+ cost.
Tastes like charcoal. Not in a good smokey, peaty, Scotchy way.
A nice nose with lots of spices, butterscotch and cinnamon. The palate, however, is metallic, minty and unsatisfying.
Too much of a metallic taste for me, loud and strong.
