a really smooth one, taste like dates but the finish is really short

The beautiful golden mahogany colour makes this whisky irresistible!
The aromas are full of fruity tones.
On the palate you are confronted with a sherry bomb.

nose is malty coffee like a strong espresso aroma with a hint of nutmeg, buttery pasterys with a orange peel and sherryed oak.
nose is a orange zest chocolate, fruity and sweetcakie, marmalade, sherry, warm coco beans and a stronger orange oily note that stays in back on tounge. a very nice well rounded whisky.
Heerlijk! Sinaasappel.
Note de bois et fruit rouge. Nez fruité
It's not the most typical whisky you can find. The nose offers some citrus due to the sherry cask as well as dark fruits, chocolate and some smoke.
On the palate, the orange is predominant over the rest.
denso e frutado, com um finish longo e doce, excelente
panteone, chocolate e maçã
frutas frescas e licoroso
doce permanece por um tempo
Hint of Vanilla from the American white oak cask and citrus, spicy taste from the Oloroso Sherry cask. nice mix. Great whiskey for the price.

chill filtered, 40%, caramel colouring but not to bad.
marzipan, orange, nuts
sherry, raisins, pudding, spice

Typical E150 filled marketing ploy. Might be appealing to many as it’s accessible and easy to define/understand, but look elsewhere if quality and challenging whisky is what you are after!
Dalmore is one of the wellworthy choise you can make.Smooth and delicate
Fruity light bodied whisky. mild warmth, no water or ice needed. excellent choice
Great thursday night whiskey. well balance, but not to moderate.
Strong taste of chocolate, a bit to sweet to my taste but still a proper whiskey

Solid choice of scotch. Very nutty, with underlying wood notes. Beautiful texture, and a solid finish.
Sweet, easy and cherry(ish) taste. Nice texture but a bit short palate.
Beautiful flavours of sherry and brack. Smooth and subtly fruity.
no complexity its fruity sweet with sherry notes and it's way overpriced there are better whisky's for less
sweet sherry smell vanilla
thin, lacks complexity

Amazing whisky, lovely flavours and nicely balanced.

It's one of my favourites, very nice

first scotch I ever loved, looking back lacks completely, too harsh on finish
good

Super smooth. Super sophisticated. Gently warming. It's like drinking half whisky, half sherry. Yet that almost seems to do it a disservice. This is a wonderfully grand drink. Good for everyday yet also one for any special occasion. A wonderful and very more-ish whisky.
Sweet and delightful. I found had notes of dark sugary dried fruit like dates. A little out of my price range, but a friend got it half off and I was able to mooch.
smooth
Nice mix of wood and oranges
Smooth but no real flavor or complexity. A good starter scotch, but not a regular purchase.
dry. good flavours underneath but the dry wood held it back.
Chocolate, not bad at all
full, fruity, chocolate
rich, fruity, dark chocolate
spicy, fruity, medium long
Tasted blind. Nose is sweet but taste is dry. Not at all smooth. Very flavorful but too smoky for me. Good, but I have had better Scotch for less than $74.
Warm colour and smooth taste. You can feel the sherry, but it's not overwhelming. Raisins and soft vanilla for a warming autumnal dram.
little dry, cherry, oak, chocolate
Perfect match with a Drew Estate Velvet Rat!
Vanilla, caramel, orange
Hint of orange, sherry, a touch of chocolate
sweet and spice, medium to long
This 40% coloured and filtered Highlander Dalmore 12 found a place on my shelf because it came in with an online package deal including A'bunadh and Signet ao.
It matured on bourbon and olorosso sherry casks.
Alcohol is soft but feels a bit methylated at first nosing, after some time only nice stuff keeps coming up. Oak, orange and raisin are the strongest but are accompanied by a weaker almond, vanilla, coffee, marzipan, malt and sweet sherry. Lovely!
The palate also has a minor offset with some bitter oak present, but the lovely stuff rules.
A salty caramel and a lot of orange/citrus, cinnamon roll and sweet pipe tobacco. Mmm I love this part.
The medium finish is smooth with a thick teethcovering sweetness. A bitter coffee/choco and a nice vanilla orange cinnamon provide this one with everything a good desert needs.
But wat this drám really needs is a person who explains to Dalmore wiseguy Mr. Paterson that this one would have been a lot better of with a significant raise in abv.
For now this is a nice 3,5/4 star dram. But Mr. Paterson you have the key to make this one a real 4/4,5 star beauty.
I'm a bit anxious now to open my King Alexander which also has an abv of 40%.
Great asset of this one is it's beautiful bottle though.
I often see my kids staring at, and touching of the 12 point Royal Stag.
Sherry influenced nose with orange, raisins and a slight hint of coffee. Very promising although it doesn't quite transfer to the palate. Very thin mouthfeel, the sherry flavours are present but it doesn't pack a punch. It's just a smooth whisky with nice flavours and a short to medium length finish and no alcohol burn. Beautiful bottle though!
Sweet, raisins, cinnamon, honey, vanilla. the finish is slightly nutty and woody
Very smooth and gentle. Hint of chocolate, vanilla and fruits, but finish quickly. Not bad for the quality with the price, but having a long finish could make it an excellent whiskey .
A bit thin, a bit too sweet, caramel flavour in adition to the fruitiness from the sherry. Sweet fruits. Easy drinking. Desert whisky.
my introduction to dalmore
Very pleasant and smooth with a sweet spiciness.
Citrus, caramel, butter, malt
Sherry, malty, gentle saltiness, subtle sweetness, spicy.
Dry, malty
Nice taste
fruity. smooth. easy sipper
Lovely smooth dram with plenty of rich spiced fruit character.
Warm spiced fruits, a gentle citrus, candied cherries.
Rich & smooth; sweet fruits (peaches, orange), gentle spices build into the finish.
Lingering spices build gently. Fruity sherry flavours carry through.
very smooth and sweet, awesome.
surprisingly much chocolate balanced with other "dark" tastes.
Exceptionally smooth for a 12 yr. Excellent entry level. Some orange on the nose typical of the sherry influence. Sherry and spice on the taste. The finish leaves the palate very dry, so definitely needs water on the back end. While the extra dry finish is a little too much on the palate its definitely not a show stopper. Nice dram overall.
Christmas cake and chocolate notes.
sweet, dark cherry chocolate notes
top
smelly even from the bottle. very smooth
Nice sherry notes with very tasty undertones of dried wood. Very good
.
A sweet and fruity dram packed with loads of spice.

This is a very sweet whiskey with a lot of dark fruit notes, primarily raisin. A little expensive but will not disappoint if you like sherried scotches.
First Dalmore. unique Sherry and orange notes. smooth and aromatic.
Really nice finish, fine taste. Great dram to keep around.
first dalmore. easy to drink. subtle. clean finish.
Interesting taste, but I expected more for that money. Glenfiddich is almost halfly cheaper, but is somewhere elsewhere... But as a gift it can be...
My first whisky EVER! Fruity and easy to drink.
An excellent dram, and available at a surprisingly affordable price. The flavor is complex and strong, evoking thoughts of a warm seat by a wood campfire.
good. very special finish. interesting.
walnut and almond with a small pepper. a woody apple surounded by a little tomato sauce and licorice
round with hot attack all around and a long pepper on the boarder of the tongue.
pepper and oak. quite dry way. with some mineral feeling melted to caramel.
great bargain fot the price. A wonderfull introduction into Dalmore world of single malts. Nose: sherry and plum, Palate: sandalwood, Finish: spicy
to strong for my taste
