General description

43 54 Стабильная пятнашка, особенно приятно и заметно длительное послевкусие- что то тёплое, деревянно-ржаное, Что то немного кофейно-цикориевое. На вкус слегка колюч. Думаю, более возрастные релизы можно пробовать.

General description

I really like Glengoyne most of the time and while I don't dislike this one necessarily, I'm just not convinced it's exceptionally better than the 12 (or even the 10 for that matter). Super smooth and easy drinking, I can't help but feel that too much of its character has been stripped away by bringing down below 46%. Still quality either way.

Nose

Smooth and sugary, hard candy, caramels, and ginger spice and pears. A light hint of wood spice right behind it all.

Palate

Smooth and a touch watery. Some richer fruits showing up alongside the thicker caramels and sweet brown sugars.

Finish

Pretty short and inoffensive, some interesting spices mingling with the fruits as they fade away.

General description

Not a whisky I'm gonna jump out of my way to drink, but smooth and fairly light, it's an easy drinker that is quite enjoyable to relax with on a mild fall day

Nose

Flaky tablet and maple syrup, candied ginger, and a dollop of honey.

Palate

Woody spice and a ginger paste spice that is both smooth, spicy and rather light. Red apples, sugar cane, cereal grains and apricot jam. Slightly mouthcoating, vanilla bean ice cream

Finish

A bit of a hot, alcoholic finish that is rather surprising, given the low abv and the age. More cereal oats and fresh sliced ginger. Its drying and sweet, with a bit of a winey finish

great one, I like Glengoyne a lot, and this one does not disappoint me

Nose

powerful sherry and oak notes, herbs, a bit flat, flower meadow

Palate

strong, sherry, oak, sweet and smooth, very pleasant, not alcoholic and with a nice sherry-creaminess, nice

Finish

short, sweet, nice

General description

Disappointing. Smooth and nothing to complain about, but also nothing much to discover. Too easy sip.

Nose

Deep fruitiness with red currant and black cherries. Spiciness from ginger and cinnamon. Strong alcohol punch.

Palate

Very thin taste, slightly bitter and creamy chocolate.

Finish

Vanishes very fast with a very sweet milk chocolate on the tongue.

malty, and vanilla with sweet fig notes I'd like it but it has a musty note that makes it more complex but I don't like the way it plays of the Sherry dark fruit notes

General description

Very noticeable sherry influence on both the nose and palate. Almost too sweet with notes of orange and slight chocolate on the start. Bitter citrus peels on a smooth finish. Enjoyable but not much better than the 12 year.

Recommend to people who enjoy sherry influenced expressions. sweet oiliness (creamy feel) stays for a while, but very friendly and warm. Might be hard to find going forward, but worth a try.

Nose

Sherry (somewhat port wine). Vanilla, oak follows after letting it sit

Palate

Medium body with sweet and spice. Barrel / malt notes are quite present. Hints of pineapple follows.

Finish

Long but mild. Creamy and oily. Notes can stay for a few minutes.

Another authentic dram from Glengoyne. Unadulterated barley and oak, rich and smooth. Subtle little flavours contribute adding some depth & interest without detracting.

Nose

Creamy cereal sweetness. Porridge oats and demerara sugar.

Palate

Purest barley character. Subtle toffee and salted butter. Oily mouth feel.

Finish

Smooth malty finish. Oaky pepper.

92. Rich ripe red fruit, Cointreau orange, fruity red wine cabernet/shiraz aromas, candy, lovely integrated maltiness, reasonable amount of oak, silky feel, buoyant on tongue, very will balanced, slight ethanol kick on the medium long finish. Mayby the best value in classic sherried style scotch.
