nice clean speyside
w zapachu dzieje sie dosc duzo: drzewne dębowe, poza tym owoce czerwone, słodkie, cytrusy, jeżyna, toffi, jak juz szczypta wanilii, w smaku podobnie choc dębina, trawa i zdecydowanie dominuja, finish krótko-średni ocena 73
The "Glenlivet" name, I read recently, is a must in any collection! This is the 15 year old & no regrets here!
I wish they presented it, with maybe 43% ABV:
A nice deep gold colour & slow runners around the glencairn.
Pleasant in every way, a fresh wood & vanilla nose, apple, warming mouthfeel and a great finish - 100%, an easy all night sipper. Worth the price!
Magnificent, gentle fresh vanilla, some apple peel.
Full & warming, vanilla, wood, creamy
Really hangs on, sweetish & fresh wood, a gentle spice & mildly nutty.
Great 15yo
Light smokiness. Lighter in flavor. Smooth, easy drinking.
This whisky is very gentle.
Summer fruits are very apparent on the nose. The palate start fruity and sweet, and develops in vanilla creaminess and a hint of oak.
The finish is soft, and medium at best
1e whiskey. met ijs. prima te doen.
Nose sweet vanilla, taste light oak and sweet vanilla. Soft short medium aftertaste. Easy starter.
Haju: muistuttaa villevallatonta eli päärynän toffeinen ripauksella appelsiinia höystettynä piparmintulla.
Maku: kermainen, hieman mausteinen, pehmeä
My 8th whisky. I liked this one far better than the founder's reserve. Much more body. I liked the winter spices taste in it. Tasted a bit like marzipan (my favourite seasonal sweet threat)
Zoet, lekker amandel spijs achting
Promising smell and disappointing taste
Nose: sweetness, cream, and a little wood
Taste: harsh black pepper mixed with sweetness covering oak and woody notes
Finish short
Sweet floral, slight spicy and well balanced.
Bardzo smaczna i bardzo pijalnia whisky. owocowa i delikatna to mój smak.
encorpado, suave e frutado, excelente
Mel e frutas vermelhas
suave, doce e um pouco picante
fica um pouco da pimenta, baunilha e frutas
Fine and quite unusual taste. Fruity and soft oak.
Soft and sweet, raisins, buttery nuts and almonds. Vanilla. Light roasted oak. Spicy.
Peppery, spices, nuts. Vanilla and soft oak.
Spicy oak, but mild.
smooth easy drink whisky.
An interesting soft nose with hints of vanilla and some richer fruits. Very smooth on the palate, a very light clove and some spice but more vanilla notes and a fruit note resembling something like lychee. An interesting dram that I wouldn't say no to trying again, though probably not one I would buy myself.
nice straight whisky
very sweet with oak and sherry
very fruity with cherries, sherry, dark chocolate behind that, smooth
long and warm in the stomack
This is my third bottle and the whisky seems to have changed since the earlier versions. the newer version is sweeter and more floral, while the older version was spicier with moreover a dry finish.
The current version has a nice blend of floral, sweet honey, and spice notes on the nose and palate. As it sits, the palate develops a buttery note. The whisky generally has nice rounded edges and reasonable body for a 40% whisky.
Delikatna w zapachu, ostra w smaku.
Es una malta para principiantes, lo mejor su bouquet, sus 15 años no le entregan suficiente carácter.
En nariz etérea vainilla.
En boca pobres sensaciones cítricas.
El final es corto y amaderado.
Oak very bold. Sweet. Lingering. Easy drinking with medium to long finish.
Unremarkable, bitter oak finish
Caramel, vanilla, red apple, malt, grapes and buttered toast. Good value for money and a solid, slightly more spicy upgrade from Glenlivet 12yo.
Can't go wrong with this one...smooth and buttery ..
Rich Fruity nose, caramel and maybe apple and grapefruit
Fruity, sweet, buttery and smooth
short finish for me..spiceness tasting a hint of grapefruit at the very end.
Livet 15 and Fiddich 15 offer interesting contrast at similar price and aging. Fiddich makes denser, bolder first impression eith dark fruits and toffee, but Livet has a more complex and interesting mid palate to finish with lighter and more citric orangy accents with gentle sweetness. Neither has the clarity of palate combined with maturity of Highland Park 18, but both are good drams at 1/3 the price and worthy whisky to be in rotation.
heerlijke afdronk van vanille
The French oak makes this one pop
Spicy. semi sweet, a little tart. Warming. lingering finish
Granny Smith, oak and sawdust dominate the nose and taste. Good mouth feel and finishes with some tannins on the back of the tongue.
Complicated whisky with good taste of different spices
møje frukt smak me litt oak smag, møje bedre en 12
Nice nose. medium body, with a shorter finish. Not bad for a 15.
Sweet, mature Speyside
Honey
Licorice, pepper, oak
Licorice
Good feel flavour am round
Starts soft with a bite
very nice dry oaky taste. quite bitter finish
sehr feiner Whisky. Teilweise überdecken die Einflüsse der französischen Eiche seine natürlichen Fruchtaromen
.
good
nice dram
oak, pepper, spices, light fruits
sweet, pepper, oak
soft, caramel, wood
Notes of vanilla and oak with a warm spicy finish.
Very smooth and tasty.
Pleasant dram, tad heavy on the peppery oak, cutting the palate short.
Vanilla fudge, creamy, pleasant acidity with a subtle woodiness.
Winter spice;cinnamon and cloves, thick oak. Pepper develops early, growing into the finish.
The finish is long and dry with a peppery note.
spicey oak. pleasant sweetness
Very Nice. hot, cooling about 2 minutes in entire dinner and desert.
Breath of Heaven 2
8 minutes airtime
fruity, grain alcohol
ghost pepper, cinnamon, peat, hops, apple, pear, buttered corn, Sherry, oak, menthol medium burn, wheatgrass, rye light burn, balsamic vinegar,
pink champagne slightly dry
Fruit, oak, a hint of sherry.......and vomit. I really want to like Highland Single malts, but they all taste gross to me.
One of my favorite whiskeys. It put the cherry on top of a memorable night for me in Seattle!
very good
Not an expert, but:
Honey, orange, almond on nose.
Dark gold in color.
Oak taste with a spicy finish.
Rich may be the best description of this smooth and deep dram. It is very warming and spicy, rich. The nose is nutty and spicy. The palate is warm, smooth and has a deep oakiness. It's slightly earthy, with a decent finish, mainly spice and a little sweetness. A very nice and full-bodied whisky, this is good for warming the soul on any night.
Nutty, spicy, sweet.
Sweet, spicy, oaky.
Spicy and sweet, quite long.
Fresh and oaky, well-balanced
very good smell
phenol almond honey
good body phenol honey fruits species
top
comparable to the dewar's 12 ancesters. a very good whisky.
This 40% Speysider is chill filtered and coloured and spent 15 years on French oak.
The result on your nose is a sweet and rich nutty fruityness of honey, almond, pear and apple. After bottle opening a little acidic but after a while some oaky smoke takes over.
The taste is soft and sherry sweet with a buttery and nutty spiced oak.
Finish is highly enjoyable with again a nutty spiced oak.
Not a game changer but it probably would have been better with a higher abv.
76 points.
Wood and oak with some clove. Palate leaves a slight tingle. Smooth with slight burn.
smooth. easy with ice and orange
Definite fave for me.
great for the price, smooth dram
smooth and dry
This taste reminds me of my girlfriend
Worth it
smooth.
Never fails
