About

Talisker is a distillery of Scottish whisky, based in Carbost, on the Hebridean island of Skye. The distillery was founded in 1780 by the MacAskill brothers. It is currently owned by Diageo. Talisker uses malt that is heavily peated for non-Islay single malt standards, which results in a full and distinct flavour. Some of the most popular and well-known expressions are Talisker 10 Year Old, Talisker 25 Year Old, Talisker 57 North and Talisker Storm.

Quite good, a bit smoky, vanilla, honey and a lot of oakish scent and taste. Also salt and oily as a right sea whisky should have :)

Little bit disapointing expected much more smoke on the nose and pallet, finish is medium long. 10 yo has a better ballance and a nice sweet note to it. Dark storm is much more sharp.

Sweet, cinnamon-like aroma on the nose. The body is smooth, though not too thick. The taste is a combination of mild vanilla sweetness and mineral notes followed by intense spicy burn of black pepper and long smoky aftertaste.
