decent blend, not very complex but does the job quite competently.
spirit forward, quite restrained really. some honey to start then paint and furniture polish. oak at the end.
dry fruity palate, mellow cherries, cranberry jam. then dry oak again. not alot of layers to this but has a good foundation.
short, very dry. alcohol burn is the only thing that keeps it going.
Candied apple, honey, nutmeg and vanilla on the nose, spicy vanilla on the palate, spicy medium finish. A splash of water brought out some floral notes on the nose, muted the spice and revealed some caramel on the palate, it also tamed the spice on the finish. Quite nice for an inexpensive blend.
I won the bottle with the phrase: "I guess this whiskey will be perfect for your taste"... wrong! It is just Ok. I was expecting something sweeter and with a better marriage.
Dewars is not for me. So many blends out there in same price range that are 1,000 times better. Not worth time for tasting notes

inoffensive, but boring
Honey is the most pronounced flavor followed by a nice spicy kick on the finish. Its smooth yet spicy but the honey stands out for me. Doesn't pack explosive flavors but its a pleasant after meal sipper.
