Close to perfection. Very smooth (although complex). One of my favorite for sure. Main core is dark dried fruits and sherry, with hints of nuts and vanilla. The body is round, thick and heavy.
Dried fruits, sherry, brown sugar, raisin, nuts, citrus
Sherry, toffee, dark fruits, some mineral and metallic notes
alkaline - almost anesthetic. Dried fruit and sherry could still be perceived (they are there from beginning to the very end)
Real Sherry Monster! Nice sugar-sherry-sweet on the nose, almost no alcohol at all despite it has 57,8% ABV. Nice on the palate, syrupy sweet, raisins, sherry and many more. Little "warm" on the palate but very good. Really long finish, a little bit bitter. Very interesting complex whisky.
My bottle was from cask number S090617005B, bottled 01.09.2015 (more than 6 years old), bottle number 375 out of 507.
I highly recommend this whisky!
Sherry bomb on the nose - really heavy on the alcohol, such an oily warm luscious entry in the palate, but the aftertaste is what this is all about - long, flavourful and satisfying
Helt klart underbar whisky men föredrar 58,6% mer framför denna!
