闻香 桂圆,橡木,肉香
入口 蔗糖,桂圆,淡淡蜂蜜,饱满浓郁的口感
尾韵 花香,温和,淡淡的木香
unusual, strong malt
strong spices, toasty, nutty, a light sherry flavour, some peach
dark fruit, oranges, a little bit astringent
rather long, spicy; towards the end some hints of coffee
A nice an straight Highland dram, good for every day. Nice combination of wood, spice and fruit
nussig, trocken, holz... vollmundig, ölig wirkt viel älter als 10 jahre... sehr schöner dram!
kinda overpowering
strange nose, full and complex first taste, wood and chipped wood, relatively short aftertaste
sulfury, moldy, heavy nose
sweet, honey, complex fruits
medium aftertaste, wood, honey, butterscotch, pepper.
Dry, old sherry and maybe somewhat closed and a bit one dimensional at first, but that changes quickly. Half a teaspoon of water and an inviting nose of sweet, ripe red fruits march to the front, accompanied by grainy and salty tones
Taste
sweet and soft, dry at first, red fruit, butterscotch, nuts, some salt. Add water and the dry arrival vanishes to make room for a rich and round complexity, with sweet spices along the way.
Finish
rather long and pleasant: oily (nut oil), mouth coating. with the added water the saltiness is more prominent (although still mild and polite) with the nuts and spices at the end. on the front of the tong a bit of a sharp alcohol note hangs about.
Comments
Such a rich, round and pleasant whisky. The first impression of dry old sherry is merely a disguise for all the good things it has to offer. Beautiful whisky! 87 points
Smooth layered whisky soft tannines from the oak, spices, sherry and that distinctive bitter dark chocolate taste. Beautiful.
Sherry
Spices, sherry, dark chocolate
Lingering
Ausgewogen, Eiche, wenig rauchig, Zitrus und Kräuter.
Intensive and well balanced.
good with chocolate
