Nuts, vanilla and cherry. would be a lot better at a higher ABV but nevertheless very good bourbon!
Spicy vanilla and oak on the nose, slightly bitter palate with vanilla and caramel which continues in the medium finish. Splash of water smoothed the palate a little.
complex taste with more char and oak notes with plum aroma
quite good!! it's heavy caramel and toasted oak. it carries all the way through. shockingly really damn good
Nose
lots of vanilla, a whiff of soap (not unpleasant, though), young wood. After a first sip: some cocos and a bit of chocolate. leave it alone a few more minutes and a touch of leather joins in.
Taste
soft arrival, vanilla, suppressed notes of chocolate and a little metallic note
Finish
sharp, mouth-coating, oily, vanilla, rather long
Comments
In comparison to another standard 12y o small batch like Elijah Craig, this lacks complexity and development. Not bad, but I'm not overwhelmed. Bottle code: L4302CLA
