Vanilla, fruity
At the distillery. Second one. The melon in the tasting notes is realy there
Fruity. Melon is there
Fruity bitter sweet
Ripe frute (bit over the top ripe)
My first Irish whiskey! A step aside from Scotch, with a peculiar and complex wood combination from wine casks, that’s already clear from the fruity and floral nose.
Taste reveals crispy and a bit spicy, yet with some vanilla sweetness and pleasant crispy cereal notes. Once the initial fruity flavours fade, hints of fresh grass, chocolate and liquorice prevail, leaving a smooth finish, balanced between oak and slightly sour/sweet (white) wine lingering finish.
Of course I can't make comparisons on the Irish side, but surely it's goodquality for the price.

Fruity sweet
A much better choice to the standard Jameson and Tullamore.
very fruity for an Irish Whisky. arrowroot biscuits and toffee as well as stewed fruits and passionfruit from the can.
buttered fruit, it's a little spikey but there is passionfruit and butter and toffee.
very oaky and spikey and very irish
A sweet malty, robust whisky that tastes more grown up than it is. the wine calls have given the liquid character.
Sweet, malty, red apples, toffee, warming spices
Malty, medium dry wine, anise, viscous
Apple cider, a little spice
