I can still feel the peat and tje smokey flavor. Not bad for a 40%

Very peaty for my taste, learning to sift through the smoke to get to the hint of vanilla. Appreciate the strong finish. Great for the price!
Strong and long lasting taste. Like a burning oak whisky barrel :). Give it time and you will really appreciate it.
Notes on the label:
Nose: Earthy smokey peat and salty ocean breeze.
Palate: Pungent peat smoke, chewy sweet malt, pepper, tar and a touch of iodine.
Finish: Long and warming. Smokey ashes of the peat fire.
I get band aids and sweet, smokey brine on the nose. The palate is semisweet, creamy, oily and viscous. The finish is medium length and warming with some savory, sweet notes.

Torfrauch im Vordergrund, leichte Vanille, etwas Gewürz. Recht günstig und zum Zechen geeignet.

Nose: charred campfire, medicine, shortbred cookies. Taste: malty and smoky. Medicine. Palate: peppermint and ginger.
Nice youngster among peaty whiskies. A bit sharp at the beginning and smoke-lasting at the end. Kinda medicinal, with a iodine and earthy taste.
In short, this scotch is bang for buck! Very affordable yet very diverse in nose, taste and finish. If you had to choose one word, it would be medicinal. It may be from Islay, but it is a long road away from the likes of Ardbeg or Laphroaig when it comes to smokiness. There is some smoke of course, but peat and iodine dominate the palate that is lovely complex for a whisky this young and it has a pleasantly long finish. There is a discussion going on from which Islay distillery this could come - some say Caol Ila, some Lagavulin. My bet is that it's a young Laga. Whatever the origins, it is a very likeable dram!

i think this is a young whisky. a little sharp at the beginning. but it gets better and better when you get to the bottom. lots of peat, smoke and some vanilla sweetness. nice long finish.
