Special for special occasions
10/18/15. 91/100. Nose is a blend of both medium and lower peat which lend flavors of anise, melon, and toffee; the malt gives sourdough and sweetbread flavors. Combos like this always remind me of over ripe bananas at the beach. The palate is bold and carries weight. The finish is briny and doughy.
One of my favorites, smooth and sweet, with a few rough edges on the finish to remind yourself it's a whisky, hard to find but always worth it
Nose is fresh and soft. I sensed also tobacco leaves. Oily and complex on the palate, it finishes with fresh fruit notes.
