That's a great one, perhaps a bit overrated, but to be met once in life!
1/28/15. 93/100. Very good, not worth $225. Suntory has gained tons of rep over the last few years and for good measure, this stuff is good. Great balance of earthy and high citrus peats, more earth-centric. Smoke is there but well integrated. Palate is full, heavy, and lingering. Chocolates, smoke, orange oil, wet earth, tobacco leaf.
Sherry Notes and really smooth.
one of the best whisky I ever tasted.
sadly the price is rising sky high since I bought a bottle for 70€ in 2011.
Nose is candied fruits, body soft and without distinction, dark dried fruit on the finish, long finish, I don't get what the rave is about
nose full of sherry, slow tears,
long and fine fruity finish
fantastic whisky
