unique. its crisp and floral with tons of fruit. peach, apple, lemon zest. a nice subtle smoke and a white wine tinge on the finish. scotch-like but completely different. definitely a step up from Toki
Kwiaty,, dąb wanilia, w smaku nieco ściągające, dobrze schowany alkohol. W skrócie dobrze ułożone ale bez szalu
Hang on! Am I going to say a good thing about non-scotch whisky? And by good I mean not ‘drinkable’, but ‘hardly drinkable, tart, growing, non-banal’. Apparently, I am.
It seemed to be banal and much reminding their cheapest segment release with its vanilla, cinnamon, mustiness and a touch of hay on the nose. Meanwhile, the palate is a tartest oily bitter orange, accompanied by prunes, cinnamon and a decent amount of smoke; expectedly converting everything to orange zest and apple seeds in the finish, and unexpectedly – to sagebrush and black pepper. Being hardly drinkable and too tart to be banal, this blend grows on you.
So, what now? After giving a high appraisal to a non-scotch whisky I have enough positive karma to go and kill some 30-40 million people.
Vanilla, a bit of cinnamon, musty, a touch of hay.
Oily, very tart orange, prunes, cinnamon, rather smoky. Bitter.
Orange zest, apple seeds, a touch of sagebrush and black pepper.
Japanese blend matured in American Oak, Mizunara, ex-bourbon casks
floral, spice, oak, honey, green hay, tropical fruit
delicate, balanced, oaky, candied orange peel, honey sweetness, nice mouth feel
white pepper, drying
I think I overpaid for what it is, but I did enjoy the nice floral notes
Little boring
Haju: hieman tamminen,vaniljainen hedelmäinen
Maku: hunaja, hedelmäinen hieman tammisen mausteinen
Alcohol nose mixed with oak. Heavy oak wood taste. Little bitter finish.
Nose: nice smell of sandal wood (or is it Mizunara?), hint of fruit
Taste: starts sweet ending spicy, honey, white chocolate
Finish: short, creamy, spicy
Starts w promising flowery, light nose and early palate, but mid palate never delivers the body, character required at this price point.
Maybe it's my Mose and mouth, need to try it once more, but for now it's nothing ill buy again. To weak and "perfect", nothing happens... 🙄🙄
Mycket fin doft och en nästan smörig smak. Spännande och trevlig
Mycket fin, sommaräng
Smörig, mild, god
En söt kick men något kort och det händer inte så mycket
I really wanted to like this one but having trouble. Nose is beautifully sweet with honey, green apple, oak, and floral notes. The palate is what gets me. It still has a bit of sweetness and floral notes, but heavy on the oak and a grainy flavor I just can't figure out. It's a bit off-putting. The finish goes back to being decent. No burn on this so its an easy drinker, I just need to figure out what flavor on the palate is bothering me. Hopefully if I let it sit on my shelf for a bit, my palate or the whiskey changes and it will be a bit more enjoyable.
Nose: subtle grain, floral nuances, fruit nougat, black pepper ethanol.
Palate: delicate oak and rose water, light grains, sweet pear and gentle vanilla/honey/caramel malts
As I pair this with my sushi lunch (just to qualify any misnomers) the heat turns a bit to a mild smokiness. Very pleasant finish that holds decently. This is my first stab at a Japanese whisky and I ain’t complaining. I was surprised how enjoyable it was even while eating.
vanilla and honey, smooth finish
Balanced, complex
Xiang
on the nose, floral, malty, some almonds, vanilla and orange's,
on the palate, spicy, sweet vanilla and floral notes,
on the finish, a sharp edge, peppery, somewhat dry
Subtle with floral, vanilla and honey notes. A little smoke too. Feels light yet rich at the same time. Very nice whiskey.
Very smooth and elegant. The name Japanese Harmony brings the point!
Sweet, honey and orange blossom, light oak finish. Delicious!
sweet subtle Nose, Lychee and floral notes
sweet, full taste of oranges/honey and some flowers
longer finish, soft, some spices
sweet caramel, wood, hiney, lichti
hints of vanilla and honey. light with a small spice.
vanilla, caramel
honey, smoky spice
black pepper,
On my second bottle. A great expression of a cross between an unsherried Scotch and an Irish. Have had numerous bourbon drinkers find enjoyment in this bottle. It can be a bit pricer at certain times of the year but worth a dram.
Been wanting to try this for a while.. It's not very complex, but what it does have is elegance, it doesn't overwhelm, but is very easy to drink. Very well done.
very oaky, Ample amounts of honey, hints of vanilla throughout
orange peel, very sweet, honey notes are there
honey and oak fade slowly away... slightly floral
Nice, but its overpriced. its not very complicated, but its worth to try thing
Overpriced.
Not so much going on
Honey, fruity, apples and vanilla.
Thin, subtle.
Oaky, vanilla, fruity.
Too gentle and smooth for my taste.
Not impressing finish.
Citrus, sweet, caramel and vanilla
short, sweet, simple, alcohol
alcohol, slight floral
alcoholic, not smooth
Apple honey caramel vanilla oak spice citrus
Floral on the nose, honey on the palette.
The bottle is an eyecatcher. Nose is sweet and fruity. Taste is honey, floral and some spice in the finish. Elegant and light whiskey. A lot of fruit for a blend.
Definitely has a lot more floral notes than other whiskeys I have tried. and the price isn't paid for something of this quality.
Very smooth. Sweet towards the finish, a bit tangy at first just a hint of smokiness.
sweet caramel leads to walnut, light fruit, melon, honey, and a little bit of earth. it's sweet, but not overpowering
Very smooth, but a bit too sweet for anything more then a single dram.
Needs time in the glass as it's a bit sour to start with. Was expecting better. needs water
Brown sugar, rum, acetone, a hint of sherry.
Typical grain alcohol vapours. Hints of vinegar at first. A little creamy but not at first.
a little dry and peppery
Rice, fruit and subtle oak notes
Some notes of peat follow flowers and honey like sweetness as well as oaky vanilla. this whisky is different every time I go back to it, an absolute joy to drink.
Pleasant and complex nose. Burst of flavors on the nose and palate. Sweetness, complexity, long finish..
Japanese whisky - smooth and slightly rum- like in the finish
Oak, vanilla
Smooth, rum, oak,
Spice, rum, sweetness, medium finish
Typically Japanese whiskey. Smooth and slightly complex. Good blend.
perfect
Pretty basic whisky.
Der beste fruchtige Blended Whiskey ohne Altersangabe.
Lot of oak, some caramel. Sweet and smooth but still a good bite.
love it. really easy to drink
Nice blend, smells of rum. Complex flavour, apricots, hay, vanilla
a great, perfectly balanced greeting to the intricate Japanese whiskeys.
fruit or floral. round taste.
great smell from an empty glass
sweet with light smoke, smooth
Fruity, a bit smokey, just enougg. Amazing blend. Must have for your collection at home.
Very fruity but a bit smoky for me. Complex in a good way. The good part of the finish was way too short, while the less desirable notes lingered a bit too long. Ice chips brought out sweetness. Good whisky but this is a bar pour for me. This is no where near worth the $65/bottle NC price. Much better drams out there for that price.
De Hibiki Harmony is wat ik graag als
de Japanse topper wil noemen.
Ligt maar vol van smaak en een heerlijke afdronk.
On the nose it is mostly vegetal and green: herbal and floral, on the taste the floral notes return and I get unripe banana, pear, vanilla, cherry and white chocolate, the finish is mostly sherry and a slight peat smoke, but that isn't the most obvious thing.
purchased a bottle is Harmony because the normal Japanesese single .alt was not available at the time.
pleasantly surprised flavor. l returned looking for a second bottle and found that it is a seasonal and not a product made routinely.
Sharp in the nose, but very pleasant and spicy to drink. Ends with a slightly earthy tone, almost bitter. Great overal whisky
Light.
A very nice surprise. Excelente taste.
easy light whiskey. floral and light tropical fruit on the nose. palate has the same light fruits. pears apples pineapple. slight oak and a hint of pepper on the short finish
Smooth, fruity and balanced.
I was expecting more from this one after getting to know Japanese whisky first with Nikka whisky from the barrel. This Hibiki lacked what to me should set the japanese whisky apart from the mass, that something unique was missing here. That said it is still a decent drink, not much wrong with it. Lighter side of whisky in every way, subtle nose and rather easy palet.
Really nice and smooth.
Real smooth and nice lasting flavour, hints of white chocolate!
Nice fresh floral scent and Sherry comes through in the taste which was overly sweet to me. Smooth through the medium finish which bring some oak and honey.
good whiskey, never had Japanese whiskey before. Glad I started here.
soft , simple, needs time to open
subtle fruits, oily
slow, then brings it
A great blend. Very smooth. Scotchy.
fine
Very smooth, no burn, fantastic finish.
Easy, smooth, but not for me.
Kinda spicy on the front with citrus notes along side. Smooth flavor with no noteworthy aftertatste.
Light and pleasant as Sakura blooming festival. This whisky is a perfect choice for a fresh spring evening. Well balanced with some sweet notes. Never disappoints yet not a top notch experience.
Nice smooth finish. Great blend to start with.
smooth, light, japanese sipping scotch. great for beginners.
If you see this get it... You will not be disappointed
Very surprising taste great. for me being New I found this a great
One of my favorites, certainly at this price
Extra smooth sipping scotch.
My current favorite blend.
overpriced but good
not a fan. nose is pungent and taste is of 12 year old scotch.
This whiskey is inferior to its predecessor and suffers from the drop in quality associated with the increased demand for Japanese whiskey. Still for under $50 this whiskey is very drinkable.
Sweet and fruity, floral notes. Good blended Whisky but too overpriced.
I was far from blown away by this one. I can think of many whiskies I would buy instead for this price.
If you can't find or afford the Hibiki 17 years, this is the one to go to. Awesome blend.
richtig gut Floral mit dezenter süße richtig klasse für ein blendet
Simple and yet a blend with character. Typical Japanese style which is not high in alcohol and Direct in flavours. Not complex Straightforward.
Best blend from Japan.
full flavour, deep taste. has a little bit of thickness to it. great whiskey
Interessanter, fruchtiger Whisky
Very floral and fruity, a good summer whisky.
