It takes a while open up, but when it does... Greatfiddich!
Chocolate of the darker variety comes before over-ripe pear and green apple. There's an obvious increased influence of oak and so a deeper profile than the 12. There's an alcoholic edge that takes time to settle into sherry notes and some woodiness that maybe doesn't help the flavours, deading them for a moment. Then citrus at the back-end...
The palate is the points' scorer taking the promised flavours on the nose into overdrive. In all honesty, if the nose was a mirror of the palate the score would be good but not great, however, the palate flavours of smooth citrus and sugars and pear/green apple lead into darker fruit tastes like raisins and some spices that might be a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon. A great Winter dram. Chocolate hits at the mid-point with a sweet cocoa spike and even a latte-like vibe from good coffee beans, but this is only as a shadow of the chocolate and fruit flavours. Pretty complex for a 15... Very good indeed.
Long to very long, with the oakiness coming through with vanilla and the sherry influence again. The apple/pear remains too. Great consistency, which appears characteristic of the Glenfiddich brand.
Zapach: Słodki, miodowy, delikatny
Smak: Bardzo miodowa, miód gra pierwsze skrzypce, wyczuwalna pieprzność, długi słodki miodowy (jakby się miód jadło) finisz

In the nose oak, honey and spice;
Oak, vanilla and mild chili taste;
No real break in the finish apart from the chili dissipating;
All tastes are very smooth. Vanilla and a hint of honey and caramel on the nose. Start off exactly as on the nose. In the finish some pepper comes up. Not 'outspoken' enough for my taste; it's a nice whisky to start the evening with, but don't try to drink it after a whisky with an outspoken taste, because all of these tastes will be hard to find back again.
One of my favourite whiskeys. Lots of complexity!
Noms
Angenehmer, fruchtiger Whisky zu einem sehr fairen Preis.
Fruchtig, Sherry, Vanille, Rosinen
Kräftig, würzig, Trockenfrüchte, Honig
Lang anhaltend trocken
Volle smaak!
quite sweet, nice fruity and when left for a while really opens up. good value
lovely, big step up from the 12yr.
smooth and fruty.
one of the standards in the collection.
Klasyka gatunku.
Bourbon, sherry and new oak barrels, then Solera system vated. It's not very complex, but firm, round and tasty. N-22, P-21, F-22, B-19.
Vanilla, custard, fresh mango, sweet pepper, milk chocolate...
Sherry, vanilla, floral, cacao, marzipan...
Orange, oak, pepper, bitter chocolate...
Some Sherry. Better than the 12, but still a little flat on flavour.
lovely, quite smooth to both palate and nose. Final a little evanescent to me
Baked pear and apple as opposed to fresh for the 12. A little sherry and spice. Underwhelming.
Heerlijke whiskey met een subtiele sherry-smaak.
Neus: Sherry, citrus - sinaasappel in het bijzonder, droog hout. Een lichte suggestie van rook?
Smaak: Medium, Sherry, Vanille, rozijnen, pittig/kruiden, zoetheid.
Afdronk: Gekonfijt fruit, rozijnen, specerijen, Sherry/eik neemt het over.
better thanks thé 12
Good well rounded whisky, fruity taste.
Even better balanced with a drop of water
it's opens up a lot with a drop of water, it's really fruty and sweet. it's with no water it's a 81=)
Note: 2-
very good balanced 15.add water to reveal more flavours. good value too.
better than 12yo but still not 18
sweet vanilla flavor and fruity taste

testé a la distillerie
I found it unbelievably fruity and pleasant while still remaining full of character. The lingering aroma could almost be used as perfume.
Good entry plus whisky, reliable, available in many places, great value for price
balanced complexer fresh fruity apple heather vanilla
smooth vanilla fudge cinnamon ginger fruity wee bit of peat sherry oak
complex sweet medium-long
Smell and taste of honey, wood, little bit of grape. Aftertaste of caramel, wood. Nice, worthy whisky.
really enjoyed this scotch
Smell of honey, a tad on the sweet side. Some hints of bayleaves and peanuts. Doesn’t last long which does not make it exciting to keep exploring. This due to the sweetness
Smooth, easy drink.
A really jump in flavour from the 12 year old; rich dried fruits with an underlying honeyed sweetness; a beautiful example of a Speyside malt.
What a respectable single malt should be
My expectations were high on this one, but it seemed a bit bland. Nothing really stood out for me. Was not impressed and I feel I should have been.
great. love it
kind of smooth. very tasty.
smell of solvent.
Uno de mis favoritos excelente sabor y olor.
one of my favorites
Great and smooth whisky, simply great.
smooth
acetone smell at the start (reminding me of nail polish remover), after a few tastes and smells, it gets sweeter and you vanilla hints. super friendly, lovely whisky
A staple in my collection, this bottle is the best value within the Glenfiddich range.
