Fyldig
Nice combination of peat and sherried fruits. Much more tasteful than is original peated versions.
Became curious after all the secrecy surrounding this new Islay.
It has a beautiful golden amber colour.
On the nose sweet sherry, ripe fruits, nuts, tobacco and lovely peat smoke.
Alcohol (46%) is a little present in the front of the nose.
On the taste nice rich oily and warm orange, fresh fruit, salt and almonds and again the lovely peat.
The finish is splendid and long with more peat and tones of sweet sherry coming up in second half.
It's not known by me which one of the Islay's is responsible for this remarkable dram, but my guess would be a young Lagavulin.
A great smokey addition to my collection.
84 points.
Lekker rokerig met een zacht fruitig smaak van de sherry
