whyskey exchange 2021
Rye the way I prefer it, simple and smooth. Just a hint of rye aftertaste without the distracting over the top flavors to heighten the finish like some of the other eyes.
Nice easy sipper. Not much on the rye notes, but they are there if you hunt for them. Lots of banana no burn
sweet caramel banana
hints of rye and dill
mild spice notes, banana candy
light to medium mouthfeel
short to slightly medium finish
no burn
Another enjoyable offering from Jack Daniel's. I still do profer the standard single barrel select over the Rye single barrel. But it is very good on it's own merits. A very interesting, unique nose, with some nice complexity. And a spicy, peppery palate and finish with lots of oak and spice. Definitely a nice one to sit down with on a nice chill evening.
Banana, Banoffee pie, Pepper, Vanilla, Almond, Spice. The longer in the glass, the more exciting the nose becomes. 20/25
lots of spice notes at the forefront. Oak, Pepper. Becomes more apealing the more you explore. 15/25
long and warm, with a lingering peppery bitterness. 16/25
very nice rye with hints of vanilla banana oakines and very subtle rye taste.fantastic whiskey.
banana vanilla spice oakines
full bodied vanilla sweetness with banana notes and licorice
long and lingering
Not a bad whiskey by any means but there are better ryes for less. Notes of caramel, pepper, and spicy fruit.
Sweet, honeydew, peppered fruit, light toffee, caramely banana
Pepper, spicy, caramel, light-medium mouth feel
Apple skin, a little ashy
smoothness with notes of banana and vanilla
great taste
A spicy loaf of banana bread. Lots of banana, with cinnamon, butterscotch and rye spices.
