Voyage 24
Mild
Voyage 17: Early morning sea air, sudsy floral soap on wet oak, fish oil, buttered toast, and caramels in waxy paper. Neat! I am quite pleased by how much the voyage influenced this whisky.
Mild aroma but spicy on the lips. Palate is well balanced, but no flavors come through with any significant power leaving a drinker wanting
This Bourbon was aged in casks that were put on boat to sail around the world to keep the Whiskey moving around in the cask and to let different climate, have their affect on them.
Rating: 80/100, -2 for value, +/- for availability. Final: 78/100.
Its not a bad bourbon, but its too watered down. The idea for this was creative, but this needs to be cask strength or your not experiencing anything. The price is too high, make no mistake, this is a $50 Whiskey, not $75-$95, like I've seen the regular go.
Brown sugar, salt water, rasins, floral (like cloves), milk chocolate, honey, mesquite.
Very light on the palate
Mesquite, brown sugar, floral, lemon citrus, rasin, salt water.
Brown Sugar, Mesquite, rasin, caramel.
This is for a bottle of voyage 17. This is a great whisky experience. Starts buttery and flows into salted caramel and the finishes with just a bit of pepper
melted butter and vanilla
salty carmel
sweet carmel with pepper at the end
salty sweet. Dusty corn
salty and briney from that voyage. some rye sting and a lot of peppercorn and honey. a nice medium finish. voyage 17
So unique. Crisp but complex. Really like it.
Excellent!
voyage 17
Jefferson's does not disappoint. Not a typical bourbon expression but in a good way. Slight brine but almost unnoticeable, washed out by typical caramel and vanilla. Easy drinking and very enjoyable but not sure it is worth the price.. will wait and see how bottle progresses on that one.
Lots of caramel with a sea salt finish
Light salt flavor. Decent but overpriced gimmick.
Sweet and smooth. Very pleasant bourbon to sip IMO.
Good whiskey, but way overpriced for what it is.
High caramel notes slight vanilla. very interesting change after opening. first taste was very harsh. it mellowed to a very nice sipper with more complex flavors
Different but smooth
light
Bit brine
smooth
It's just a gimmick. No salt flavor, thin and weak. Vastly overpriced. Voyage 16
Great, with some brine-ey-ness to it - well balanced. Sweet on the nose.
the salt is there. I've got voyage 16, and I'd describe it as a salted caramel apple from the carnival as a kid. great. hard to compare to other bourbons because of how different it is.
Voyage #14.
This is very good. I had it at a whiskey bar for $15.50/pour. Tastes great neat. A few ice cubes bloomed it out nicely. However, I recommend this as only a bar pour. $80 in NC is way too much for a gimmick bourbon, no matter how successful the gimmick turns out to taste. You can buy 4 REALLY good bottles of $40 bourbon for the cost of 2 "Ocean Voyages.,". I am glad I tried it, but I think the reserve may be close at a much reduced cost.
Received it as a gift. Nice flavor. I enjoyed it but likely wouldn't buy it at the going price
At first it smelled like worn socks, but then it was more like hotel waffle batter. All I could taste was oak, and maybe saline (could the casks have absorbed salt from the air?)
Socks, hotel waffle batter
Oak, saline
Very good served neat.
nice flavor smooth. very good
not even a close second place. my favorite.

I tasted the salt,. but not much difference over normal bourbon. I was a bit disappointed.
a bit sweet, very good. smooth
Slight brine flavor to a super smooth bourbon
Salt water
Vanilla and brine
Super smooth, oaky
vanilla and caramel flavors. Salt adds to the sweetness
no better than Blanton's
I bought this when it first came out and overpaid at $80 U.S. Not worth anywhere near that. I think it's suggestive marketing that makes people think there is brine notes, I don't get that at all. It was already aged 6 years on land and only spends 6 months on the ship which I don't think early enough or long enough to really alter the taste profile.
voyage 8
smooth, sweet with a brine finish
A nice warm vanilla and salty finish
Vanilla notes with a bit of oak and brine
Vanilla hint of fruit with just a touch of brine on the finish. Not a salty dog but just enough to let you this as been exposed to the ocean environment.
Mild brine finish warm and inviting.
Delicious!
Ocean Log 9
Smooth, easy sip. Definitely taste salt and brine in the finish. Nice surprise.
easy drinking, smooth finish
Easily one of my favorites with such a smooth finish. I can sip on this all day.
