This is an excellent whisky with a lovely summer vibe to it. It doesn't have any of that "wine-y" character that can be a bit hit or miss for me and I'm very glad I tried it. Probably a bit too expensive for what it is though and I can't say I'd rush to pay for another dram, but an excellent showing from Glenfiddich as one would expect.
Immediate white grapes and a beautiful strong peach note here with a light hint of some spices when left to breathe.
That light spiciness is the first thing on the palate but then it has big and juicy grapes powering in with some crisp green apples. It is a full bodied whisky on the tongue with all the flavours working really well together.
Mid to long finish that lightens up from the fullness of the palate. White peach and under ripe pears play with some cinnamon spice before it finishes with a final reminder of grapes.
