I tried this blind in a tasting with four other Irish selections. This was by far my least favorite. I am not certain if it translates, but I am not an IPA fan at all. However, the same notes I dislike in beer, I tend to appreciate in spirits...???
N - Licorice with isopropyl.
P - Acetone, light fruits, pear and some citrus. Light baking spice with accent of stale bread.
F - Quick, light and thin with some tailing off notes.
Sweet and smooth like all Jamesons.
smooth
sweet,light, citrus
Not as good as the stout edition
Citrus, apple, shiny
Bright, sweet, orange peel, a little bit of hoppes
Definitely a fruity IPA taste lingers
Best of both worlds
cookie and beer
starts off with a solid whiskey flavor
ends as an Ipa
Orzeźwiająca, cytrusowa, pijalna.
Pretty easy drinking, a little hoppy. interesting twist. Keen to try stout BA version.
banana and hops on the nose, some citrus. starts out with honey, light sweetness, then opens into some citrus, slightly sour, grapefruit. leads into a short finish, hintof hops and grapefruit right at the end.
Floral notes in nose, again floral notes on the palate, vanilla and lemon.
This is the last Jameson for me. Nothing special, nor nose nor taste. Don't know where "IPA" comesfrom, doesn't show in the whisky at all. Better spend your money on quality.
IPA certainly has its say.
Light, fizzy and slightly hoppy with hint of caramel and sugars heading to citrus. Vanilla is a presence too. Pleasant. Perhaps floral to some.
Definite IPA notes, slight burn quickly passing, sweetness with light pear.
Some flavours leave palate relatively quickly leaving some apple, possibly toffee apple and caramel.
zacht met een klein pepertje. bittertje valt wat tegen. had meer verwacht van de IPA
I was really suprised by the Whisky at that price level.
Starke Alkoholnote, die sich nach kurzer Zeit im Glas abmildert. Danach fruchtig, citrus, etwas Eiche.
Absolutely fine whisky, Hoppy, citrus, melon, grapefruit but it still as that classical Irish floral notes
bardzo dobra, delikatna i słodka
Delicious and complex, when compared to regular Jameson it has more layers, and finishes medium length with an almost hoppy note that is lovely.
Sweet, citrus and orange in taste
Sweet and very citrusy; quite a fresh and crisp drink.
Sweet smelling and dry tasting. Adding even a few drops of water gives off a solvent taste.
Vanilla toffee. hint of wood. hint of solvent.
Hint of dried fruit which is replaced by sweet honey grape flavour.
slightly bitter and quite dry.
very good
solid variation on Jameson. the ipa aging provides a nice flavor
Отлично для коктейля с ginger ale
Smooth, mild lemony not much flavor Irish or otherwise
Honey, citrus notes
Dry, citrus, slight sweetness, and no traditional Irish flavors
Anise, lemon
I was nervous about the hop flavor not jiving as in others like this but this is the best ipa whiskey I've tried yet. very good balance. hops are subtle but still present.
interesting, like the after taste
Orange cream on the nose. chocolate, orange
Very smooth but doesn't have much flavor to me.
nice Irish whiskey
smooth, but not my cup of tea
Smooth & sweet, slight oak and citrus flavor.
Nice Irish whiskey. Smooth with just a bit of alcohol heat
vanilla, oak, hops
bitter, caramel, butter
Alcohol,
Hints of citrus (mango?) and slightly bolder/better IMO than regular Jameson. Great intro to Irish whiskey.
The rehydrator. nose sweet bourbon. 8 minutes airtime. palate bitter menthol cooling waterfall medium burn, sweet alfalfa, mandrin orange, nothing cooling waterfall medium burn, hops, mild ginger, Pinot grisio extra long finish
Definitely a Summer Whiskey
sweet bourbon
bitter menthol cooling waterfall medium burn, sweet alfalfa, mandrin orange, nothing cooling waterfall medium burn, hops, mild ginger
Pinot grisio
I get grapefruit and coconut cream pie. overall it's very enjoyable, I just wish it was a little higher proof.
A very easy drinker.
fruity, sweet, and very smooth.
perfect combo with any IPA
A half step above standard. Less bite, more citrus.
Mellower and fruitier than standard Jameson. I prefer the stout barrel edition, but this is a solid go to as well
Very nice. I'm a Jameson fan but this version challenges the basic blend. Bit stronger taste but still pleasant.
very light flavour, definitely citrus as expected, but not sharp. hint of fresh fruit also. slight oak taste but then citrus comes through. like grapefruit! nice whiskey!!
