This is an all time favorite for me. The nose is all stone fruits, apples, and maple syrup. The palette starts similarly with a syrupy sweet fruitiness, but it then evolves into an intense pepper and rye spice. It almost burns as if you’d bitten into a pepper. Then the spice dies and you’re left with a honeyed plum finish that is absolutely delightful. A rollercoaster of a dram, and unlike anything I’ve had before.
