General description

Charred wood with sweet caramel nose. Very smooth and a little oily with honey and fruit on the palate. Finish is long, oaky, a little bitter but surprisingly gentle. Punches well above it's price point!

Nose

Burnt wood and caramel

Palate

Honey. fruit, and wood.

Finish

wood, oak, smooth, bitter

The 09 drinks like a scotch to me, a high earthy flavor makes it unique though. Can't go wrong for $30

This is not your everday Evan. A great Bourbon backed by numerous awards. A $65+ Bourbon that only costs ~$35.

Finish strength: Short
Color: Russetmuscat

General description

A below average drinking bourbon with a Napolean complex.

Nose

Brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, butterscotch. Tooty fruity?

Palate

Sticky. Drinking neat results in a strong oaky-alochocol bite. A splash of water reveals butterscotch, rubber and more tooty fruity. Pleasant enough to keep tipping, but nothing special.

Finish

Dry. Short. Probably best in a cocktail, but can be drank neat in a pinch.
