Lagavulin, which is Gaelic for "hollow by the mill", is a Scotch whisky distillery, located in Lagavulin on the island of Islay, Scotland. The distillery is owned by Diageo. International Spirit ratings competitions have given Lagavulin's spirits extremely high scores, with remarkably good ratings for the 16-year old single malt in particular.

Smoke and citrus notes are dominant but maritimes notes are also noticeable.

Powerful and sharp, strong smoke, peat, spices, pepper, ginger, citrus
