Didn’t want to like this one, but I do.
Sweet with caramel, honey, perfume, a little banana and mesquite. A bit thin. A little bite on the tongue and the finish is a tad harsh.

Palate

fruchtig-süss, keine Geschmacksbombe

Finish

würzig, fruchtig-vanillig

Nose

Not for every one. This is a high end mixer for sure.

General description

Interesting. Typical bourbon notes on the nose with caramel and cherry, cinnamon on the palate. Felt like it was going to build up to a strong heat but it was restrained... maybe that's the charcoal filtering? Overall it's pretty good. It's got a funky mouth feel but the bourbon as a whole grew on me the more I drank

Nose

Caramel, cherry, brown sugar

Palate

Cinnamon, underlying muted heat, medium bodied, almost a viscous mouth feel, a bit nutty

Finish

Charcoal, woody, ashy cherries

General description

Good. I would buy again for sure but I have to be honest that there are other bourbons that are a few dollars cheaper that are just as good.

Nose

Nice nose that’s not over powering. All the hallmarks of a decent bourbon. Mild spice and a touch of sweetness.

Palate

Nice mouthfeel with a decent balance of spice to sweetness. To me it’s kind of in between vanilla and caramel in the sweet and the spice is not quite rye spice but in the same neighborhood. Just a hint of the mesquite smoke comes through from time to time.

Finish

Nice burn but not so powerful that I wouldn’t consider it smooth. A hair acidic

I was expecting a little more. I'm not really sure how much more, but after the little bit of burn there just were not that many flavors coming through. It's decent, but at the end of the day it will be the marketing wank that sells this bottle.
