General description
Deceptively complex given that it is a little thin in the middle. The peat is more like sauntering down a boreen past a cottage with a turf fire, than elbowing your way through a crowded hooka parlour. A very pleasant dram with character, but without notions of grandure. This is a very quaffable dram indeed, which belies its subtle complexity
Nose
lovely gentle pine smoke, and some herbacious notes
Palate
a little thin at the start, and young around the edges, but that's followed by soft honey. The smoke whafts in the background
Finish
While the sweetness passes sowly, the soft tingle lingers surprisingly long and finishes with a surprising saline note and all the while tendrils of straw smoke and flecks of ash curl around the mouth and nosr
