General description

General description

Candy in a bottle. If you have a sweet tooth, this bottle is a must. Notes of raisins, white chocolate, figs, baking spices, and finishes out with a nice, spicy sherry note. Drinks smoothly for the 60%+ abv.

Nose

Vanilla, white grapes, yogurt covered raisins, smooth, sweet, toffee, figs

Palate

Raisins, white chocolate, happiness, smooth, drinks under its proof, sweet, orange?, figs, nutmeg, complex

Finish

Heat builds a little, builds a nice little campfire on your tongue and keeps you warm, spicy, bit of sherry

Very pleasant, expressive flavors, long after taste that continues to evolve. And a great value.

General description

One of the more complex noses I've experienced, full of bitter chocolate and sherry and black fruits. The dark aromas give way to a slightly lighter taste, more oak, malt and fruit, and an even lighter, but long finish. In a way the taste doesn't quite deliver on what the nose promises, but it is still a delicious sherried dram. To my slight surprise, it is quite drinkable at full 60.8% ABV, and preferable too.

Nose

Dark chocolate, sherry, oak, dried fruits, black cherry, malt, fresh peat, spices, vanilla

Palate

Oak, spices, black grapes, malt, sherry, oil, red apples, treacle

Finish

Sherry, oak, malt, blackberry
