This Blender's Batch is inspired by the regular Black Label, but with an additional 9 month finishing period in ex-sherry casks. This adds some fruity and spicy notes to the Black Label's gently peated flavor profile, while pushing those peaty, smoky notes more to the background.
Burnt toast with butter, light smoke and oranges. Notes of grain, redcurrant, vanilla and oddly enough faint traces of yoghurt.
The sherry influence is subtle, but it's definitely there. It softens the peaty notes and adds a fruity touch. And some peppery spices.
Medium long finish, with stale fruit juice and a slight ashy dryness.
