Rating: 92/100
Finish strength: Long
Color: Burnished

General description

Less fruity than my other 12 cask strength (I believe batch 14), but anyway great stuff with full flavours and just enough sherry influence to give a deep fruitiness and sweetness.

Nose

Strong bourbon influence with the typical aceton note. Sweet with pears and marshmallows

Palate

Very smooth, salty but alsi very sweet. A fruit tartness from black currant and dark sweetness from dried plums with cinnamon

Finish

Long bitter choc finish

Slick mouthful, rich sherry, hint of liquorice bitterness, spice, dry wood

Dry, soaked raisins, very long, mineral, very brief hint of smoke right at start, fig fruitiness
