Drinking this whisky is like an orchestra playing a symphony for your sensory and oropharyngeal organ systems. The rich peaty and fruity notes combined with the finishing spiciness makes it a complex and complete tasting experience despite the relatively young (7 years) age of this whisky (kudos to Kilchoman) and, at the same time, a good companion for a well-deserved enjoyable evening.
burning wood, peat smoke with notes of dark fruits (plums)
first fruity notes, then a dominating intense peat smoke
very long, spices such as chilli or black pepper, pleasant warmth at the back of the mouth and the throat, woody dryness after some time
nice smoke and fruit on the nose. also on the palate smoke and fruit, very well balanced. little sweet and spice. extrem long finish with good oak and dry mouth feeling. Great Whisky !!
at the beginning more peatsmoke, very nice. reminds me on a campfire. fresh lemon only at the start. later more fruit, little sweetness. very nice balanced
smoky and fruity. dryed red fruits. very rich and complex.
extrem long with peat and fruit. after some time nicely dryness with wood.
I've had this on 3 separate occasions and I think it's OK. Mid-range for Kilchoman.
N: Smoky dried wood, salt, white grapes, peat
P: Oily, salty peat wood. Too much wood for my taste buds
F: Medium fiery wood
