My first Mortlach so apologies if my impressions are somewhat tone deaf. Personally I think this particular dram is pretty good. Very drinkable but after prolonged exposure, I feel more like a calf munching away in a field than anything else. I would buy again but at a price at about half of retail.
Sweet caramel, fresh water beach side, an early spring garden.
Initially light, like licking glass before flavors unfold, becoming deeper (but still pretty shallow) with slight caramelized malt, almost tin, dried grass or hay, developing into green apple and pear, sweet.
Berry cough syrup, slight tart, doesn't taste like spinach but is similar to the aftertaste of spinach. Initial taste is better than the aftertaste but I still approve.
