General description

Nose has bacon bits, strawberry jam, mocha, sweet peat and ocean breeze. The palate is sweet and a little creamy on entry with caramel, mocha, peat and wine notes, but more like a good Argentinian Malbec than a Pinot Noir.
Finish is medium length and warming with a spicy mocha note.
Delicious!

General description

Good, great, decent, Ardbeg. While not as good as the Committee Release, still a fantastic dram to enjoy all night long. Getting a strong warming sensation. Closely resembles the Ardbeg 10 IMO, even more so than the Uigeadail.

Nose

Peat smoke and sweet. A little salt, some darker fruits, a pinch of citrus with must. Vanilla toffee, butterscotch if you really look for it.

Palate

Flavors of rolling smoke, peat that's muddy, soot, earthy, classic to Ardbeg and quite delicious. A little salt, and sweet. Some pepper spice, some vanilla. Might be my current palate but I can't seem to detect the Pinot Noir maturation like I could in the Committee Release. I am getting some fruit but it's so distant it's hard to identify.

Finish

Peat smoke and must linger, some salt remains, a little meaty, even mossy. Reminds me of anchovies but without the oil.

Sweet, dark forest fruit. Some tannines, with a warm finish - some peat, but not nearly as much as other Ardbeg.
